  1. that's true and yeah $1000 is steep, do you think its worth getting the repair done regardless in order to receive a qualified grade?
  2. hello, I'm new to this forum and was wondering what everyone's thoughts were about restoration, I recently acquired a tales of suspense 39 in a cgc .5 grade. The reason for this grade is the book was torn in half vertically then reattached with tape. I asked cgc what options I had and they mentioned mending the pages with rice paper after removing the tape. This method would give the book a qualified grade of 4.0-5.0, would this be worth doing to this type of book or just leave it alone?( the cost runs about $1000 max but could be less)
