  1. You will probably get a lot more responses if you post this in the Comics General section, and you may also get a lot of direct messages and offers as well. But as Revat said, I wouldn't do anything until it is actually graded. Grading an AF15 is probably going to be somewhat expensive. If you were to sell it, auction houses like Heritage and Comic Link may be good options, and I've heard you can even negotiate the fees with big ticket items like an AF 15. Looks like a great book, and welcome to the boards! Edit: Sorry for the loss of your father
  2. Just finished watching it, and rather enjoyed it. I thought the performances were great. Probably not a "top-tier" comic book film for me like the first one was (is somewhere in the middle), but that's ok.
  3. Thanks for running this! Winning guess is...$947.28
  4. This is probably my all time favorite fiction book. Debating getting a trial to CBS all access to watch this, but I typically don't like ultra-violent movies, so I'm not sure based on that first review. This is the full book as a limited series, right? Not like Under the Dome which they decided to stretch into several seasons?
  5. Wow, major flashback. I had and used that Empire Strikes Back one back in 3rd grade (I think it was that one)
  6. That would be convenient for me since those are the two streaming services I'm currently paying for (well Amazon Prime video, but I look at that as more of a bonus ). HBOmax is also free at the moment, but probably wouldn't pay for it if was required. PlutoTV has a surprisingly large amount of free programing as well. Love BuzzrTV
  7. Isn't that J. Scott Campbell's first "appearance" in issue #6? https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Nintendo_Power_V6#J._Scott_Campbell
  8. RIP Dave Prowse I met him as a young kid back in 1983 or 1984. He was in town visiting kids in the local children's hospital where my mom worked as a nurse. She was allowed to bring me in to meet him as well, and I got this signed picture which I still have. The back side has a local charity information printed on it. I think this is where I learned there actually 2 people that were Darth Vader.
  9. Another great episode...we need more than 8 in a season! Interesting to learn more of Grogu's past, but wonder who saved him from the Jedi temple during the purge? Or was he already known by Sheev to be special and was immediately captured instead of killed? And maybe it was Grogu's DNA/blood/whatever with the high "M-count" used to help make clone Palpatine (or multiple Snokes) in Rise of the Jedi? Of course, that means he would have to be re-captured at some point, so lets not go there...
  10. I admittedly don't know much about the New Mutants comics/storyline (and my wife is usually indifferent to most comic book movies), but we rented it today and enjoyed it. Would watch a sequel if one gets made.
  11. Great episode. I watched this video afterwards which helped explain some backstory, since I haven't seen all of the Clone Wars yet.
  12. Cool, I also like this artwork...wish it was made into a poster. Edit: Source and higher-res are on DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/dirkloechel/art/Size-Comparison-Science-Fiction-Spaceships-398790051
  13. I've only purchased a couple of things from https://www.slabbedheroes.com/, but it turned out well. He offers new release 9.8s
  14. Awesome! A great book. Love the Depeche Mode song in this trailer as well. Wonder how it will compare to the 1978 version (hard to beat Angela Lansbury)
  15. I think I've heard this exact line on one of those commercials: "And we'll send you another one for free! Just pay a separate fee".
  16. I sure hope this ends up being made. I loved TRON: Legacy (saw it on IMAX 3-D opening day), and the visuals and soundtrack still stick with me. Tron: Uprising was another great series that ended way too soon. Just wore my ENCOM t-shirt yesterday
  17. Welcome to the boards! (well, it looks like that was a year ago ) I would probably post this in the signature subforum on this site to get some ideas there. It probably will come down to what are your goals with the book: sell, long term hold, get sigs form favorite artists, etc. Personally, I feel the cover artist is always a good choice. People have varying opinions on celebrity signed books, but I think Shameik Moore would be excellent in this case as well. Actually, I would get them both if I could!
  18. Before I got back into collecting a few years ago, I had a similar experience. I went through the Marvel website to subscribe to the Star Wars series, which was fulfilled through Midtown. The "backing board" was thinner than a normal backing board. For the most part, they typically arrived in pretty good shape, but I wasn't expecting 9.8s. One time, it was very damaged, and I wrote their customer service. They basically said something like their subscription books (or maybe just Star Wars?) shouldn't be used as collectibles, but they would send out a replacement (up to two times or something). A couple of times an issue was skipped, but after writing them, sometimes twice, they would send out a new one. At the time, I was ok with them since I really just wanted to read the story and they were at least 40% off cover price. After a couple of years, I decided to get more serious about collecting and started visiting the LCS and cancelled the subscription. Things may have changed since. I'm guessing subscription comics may be shipped differently than if buying single from their store directly (where they would ship more securely)? But I'm not sure
  19. That doesn't look good, but did you mean to post this in the "For Sale" section? Edit: I see you want it moved/removed
