I'm hearing there may be news coming soon from CGC related to this variant. Hopefully they will begin noting it as a unique variant on the label. These are first printings that were intended to have store specific UPC codes applied by the large book stores that carried them (Barnes and Noble, etc).

I'm beginning to worry mine have moved to the backburner, as well. They have been in GEI for over two weeks.

Thank you. Should it be submitted in the bag with the comic, perhaps on the back side of the board? I want to make sure it does not fall out of the book when the grader first takes it out of the bag.

I have a really nice copy of Transformers #1 (Marvel UK) that I want to get graded. I have the insert sheet that is full of Transformers transfers as advertised on the front of the book. Marvel simply inserted these into the books loosely. They were never attached in the binding process. Are these required to be present with the book to get a blue label?

Sadly, 14 of the 50 books I received last week sustained cracked slabs at some point (either during packing or during transit). Reading through some of the comments, this appears to be a much more common occurrence than it was in the past. I sent an email about it to service@cgccomics.com several days ago but have not heard back. I was told to send the email when I called on Friday. How long does it take them to reply about damaged slabs?

Both of my Modern submissions received on 1/19/21 are now at Grading/QC. One has been at that stage since 3/17 and the other just went today. Hopefully the long wait will be over soon.

My modern submission has been stuck in SFG since Monday.

I haven't seen any new ones in a long time. I'm wondering if the deal with Walmart has ended.

My most recent submission was delivered on 8/6 and still has not been marked as received. I always get nervous when it takes a while to check in my books.

It’s pretty easy for me to see that distribution dates do not matter. Which book actually existed first? Virus appeared in the FCBD book before he appeared in Venom #26, regardless of where the book sat in storage.

I sent you a pm just now I really appreciate this most generous offer. I have given up on ever seeing this book in 9.8. The hacks at Jetpack Comics destroyed every copy they got by handling them with gorilla hands. If that is not the case, their entire shipment must have been damaged and they didn't care enough to demand a replacement printing. Every copy they have sent out is sub-9.4 trash. I would guess most copies are around 9.0, unacceptable to any collector of new comics.

Might as well buy the comics. They are as close to tp as you will get in a Walmart right now.

The three copies they sent to me were trash. I had to get a refund, and they were not friendly about it. Of all the shops who carried exclusive covers of #1, Jetpack Comics was the only one who showed no regard for the garbage they sent to people. I will never spend another dime there.

The first of my submissions of this book have all come back 9.8 Covers A, B, C, G, P, Q, S (x2), V, Y, Galaxycon, Ashcan, and Foil.

My modern submission received on 1/6 just hit "scheduled for grading" yesterday. I noticed an oddity in the list of books. All of them show "modern" under the category except for one which is listed as "universal." Why would it be different? It is a book published last year. Update: It now shows "modern" under the category, so I'm not sure what happened.

That is the one I purchased and got damaged copies (all three of them). Do you have an extra that is 9.8 worthy?

I have completely revised the original post. Please double check my work. I have never seen Cover E, and Unknown Comics had no knowledge of that variant when I called them.

Good luck with the submissions! Those Philippines books that I had were very nice, so I'm hoping yours does well. I'm pretty sure you got your copy from me I recognize the last name.

I'm planning to update the first post soon with all known variants of the first prints. I wish CGC would have stuck to noting all of these as Variant Cover A, B, C, etc. instead of noting the cover letter for some and not others. That is how I will note them in the original post moving forward. Was the Jetpack exclusive hard for you to find in NM+ shape? I ordered three copies from them and had to send all of them back. Each had numerous defects, and the retailer was not very friendly about the return.

Am I the only one snapping up every pack with Spider-Verse #1 on the front? I think that book is going to be huge. First appearance and first cover for Spider-Zero.
