  1. Here's my entry ticket. It just arrived a couple of days ago.
  2. Two recent pick-ups. The Madhouse 22 is an upgrade. I traded my 5.5 for this 6.5 along with one of my GA Archies. I'm also happy to now own an FF 52. This panel is just too cute to leave out of any post involving MH 22! Dan DeCarlo was a genius!
  3. Very cool cover! And nice book! Back in the good ole' silver age when picking up Thor's hammer was a REALLY BIG DEAL!
  4. Betty and Me #1. I just love that Betty finally got her own title in 1965. Always my favorite character in the Archie-verse.
  5. I was in the LCS today and decided to pick up the Steranko cover. Honestly, I had no idea that Jim Steranko was still working.
  6. I've held an Archie #1 in my hands. It was in pretty poor shape and in the process of restoration. Still, knowing what it is and how few of them have survived...
  7. I picked this up at the last Heritage Auction. The price was a bit higher than gpa, but it was the book and grade that I very much wanted. Sellers seem to have pretty high expectations on this book in higher grades.
  8. She wouldn't be a new character, but Batgirl sure has the potential to be a big hit if DC can manage to not mess it up with the movie. She is NOT a carbon copy of her male counterpart. And, she has to use her wits because brute strength just won't do.
  9. I can't even remember how long ago I got this book - suffice it to say a really long time ago! Anyway, a pretty major key for collectors, I think.
  10. Did Betty appear very much as Superteen? I can't really remember seeing the character very much if at all.
  11. Wow! What a great memory. Some of these Archies do seem a bit undervalued to me. I have noticed that there seems to be a lot more Archie collectors now than there were a few years ago, but still very few compared to superheroes. Fortunately, the Archie gang is reaching the younger generation pretty well these days so perhaps these books will get the recognition they deserve someday.
