  1. In the pre-COVID days it might have been cheaper to hand deliver and fly to Ireland. Aer Lingus has/had cheap flights to most of Ireland from many major eastern cities.
  2. I guess we know what will be in the next Heritage sale...
  3. Consider calling Josh at ComicLink and see if he would be willing to approach the buyer on your behalf.
  4. I was told by another collector that it had been "offered for sale" previously but had no takers. I'll have to dig out the old Sothebys and Christies catalogs and try and refresh my memory.
  5. Yowza!! https://profilesinhistory.com/auctions/the-alex-raymond-flash-gordon-auction/
  6. I was told Banksy contributed to the background art
  7. I don’t believe so. The cover was acquired in trade from another dealer. There were no interior pages involved in the trade.
  8. A heck of a lot more than I would be willing to pay. Could see this hit 75-100k if not more. Clearly the Sal Buscema contribution may push it over the top. There are collectors who LOVE first appearances......
  9. Thanks for jogging the memory Mitch. It did look familiar. Now I remember seeing it at SDCC.
  10. This one is also hand-colored so sky is the limit. I agree with Scott, no Hobbes may be a detraction for some bidders.
  11. Wow. Reminds me that I did the same thing in the infancy of ebay. Problem was that after filling several boxes and making several housing moves I felt it was more trouble than it was worth. Taken to the local dump and lost forever!
  12. Finally got to digging out my trio. Came from an original owner collection about 10 years ago.
  13. This thread reminds me of the Avengers 1 splash story.... https://www.completeset.com/the-best-garage-sale-finds-and-their-amazing-stories/
  14. Great to do business with. A++ communication and shipping!
  15. Funny you say that. My package was scheduled for delivery Monday and made plans to have someone available to receive the package. I got home from running weekend errors today and there was a large Fedex box left outside my garage!!! Oh well.
  16. I consigned some strip art to them recently and see that it showed as being part of that auction. Other than that, nada.
  17. Had a similar experience recently. I share your pain and frustration.
