Oh and I am really interested in your opinion of the current „right“ evaluation of early John Buscema/Sinnott pages, as there were in the last Comiclink auctions multiple panel pages from FF 112 which were sold for up to 35k, which was far above the results in other recent auctions. Is that an anomaly or is this a hint for a re-valuation of early John Buscema/Sinnott pages?

No, I definitely don’t work for clink. I consigned some stuff at the current and former auctions (as I do at Heritage). I also buy art in both auction houses. I noted that in this forum Clink seems to have a hard time and is judged as old, outdated and from the past compared to Heritage. I think that the market is so big that it needs at least three to four big auction houses to keep competition up (which is good for the collectors) to stay healthy and further flourish. I see the danger that Heritage pushes smaller auction houses out of the market, if we start to ignore the other auctions (which often also have fine artwork). And as we -as always- already had a big, big thread for the upcoming Heritage auction here in this forum (don’t know if anybody here works for Heritage or consigned artwork to the June-session), I wanted to put a tiny spotlight on the main auction of Clink that starts in some days and has some fine art.

Really very nice Sinnott pages at Catskill but this here is another league of quality pages in the auction here I think

I think that Ian Bertram and Tradd Moore are currently doing exceptional art. Little Bird and Silver Surfer Black contain great artwork. And yes, there is very, very strong European art (don’t know where to start and stop. It is an endless field..) -

How would you rate FF and Thor pages from early Buscema/Sinnott runs? There are 5 nice FF/Thor pages in the upcoming Clink Spring auction (Clink has even an own Buscema/Sinnott „corner“, which is a nice idea I think as the inker is usually no criteria of order in auctions… Buscema pages are always listed as Buscema even when the end result is so different droending on the multitude of inkers that worked on his pencils) and the last results of Buscema/Sinnott pages at Clink were in my view really astonishing…. Is that a recalibration of the market towards early Buscema/Sinnott pages or were these results an exception? https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FPREVIEW.ASP%3Fcode%3D2022may%26itemtype%3D1%26Artist%3DJOHN%20BUSCEMA%20AND%20JOE%20SINNOTT%20%26searchdbf%3D0%23Item_1568256&id=1568256&itemType=1 https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FPREVIEW.ASP%3Fcode%3D2022may%26itemtype%3D1%26Artist%3DJOHN%20BUSCEMA%20AND%20JOE%20SINNOTT%20%26searchdbf%3D0%23Item_1573853&id=1573853&itemType=1 https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FPREVIEW.ASP%3Fcode%3D2022may%26itemtype%3D1%26Artist%3DJOHN%20BUSCEMA%20AND%20JOE%20SINNOTT%20%26searchdbf%3D0%23Item_1577237&id=1577237&itemType=1 https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FPREVIEW.ASP%3Fcode%3D2022may%26itemtype%3D1%26Artist%3DJOHN%20BUSCEMA%20AND%20JOE%20SINNOTT%20%26searchdbf%3D0%23Item_1573854&id=1573854&itemType=1 https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FPREVIEW.ASP%3Fcode%3D2022may%26itemtype%3D1%26Artist%3DJOHN%20BUSCEMA%20AND%20JOE%20SINNOTT%20%26searchdbf%3D0%23Item_1573852&id=1573852&itemType=1

This McNiven art from Return of Wolverine in the auction is many things at the same time: The cover for the Director Cuts, the cover for the 2nd print of the first issue, it is a splash page and the first page of the whole run at the same time.

Sorry, I don’t get your point…. 14? 10? I can see today 160 lots in the Original Art section, some of them (eg the Darwyn Cooke lot with 3 consecutive pages) have multiple pages. And the auction seems to grow daily.
