  2. hi folks, putting some more stuff up for sale- the highlights this time around include a page from Crisis on E=Infinite Earths 1 by Wolman, Perez and Giordano. This page features Harbinger visiting and freeing the Psycho Pirate in her attempt to defeat the Monitor- A very nice page from a classic series. This one has sold. Also being offered is a page from Avengers 73, by Roy Thomas, Frank Giacoia and Sam Grainger- a rare penciling turn from Frank. Most of the team is featured on this page and as a bonus, it is signed by John Buscema, who had nothing to do with this issue but signed it anyway (he did pencil issue 74, inked by Tom Palmer). This one is 1750. There is some other fine art also for sale on my CAF- please see the link below. Thank you! Robert Frey http://cafurl.com?i=548

  5. Hard to believe that a company like that, one of the leaders in the hobby, doesn't want to kick in a few bucks and have their website join the 21st century. You're right- it is frustrating to navigate and frankly, it is embarrassing.
  6. true, but how about the people who specifically cleared their calendars to be available last night and now find they can't tonight?
  7. the last call on these will be friday evening. if you have any interest in these, please let me know before i remove them from being up for sale.
  8. Well, I have added two more pieces to the mix- These two will only be available for a limited amount of time. 1st page- Very early New X-Men page by Dave Cockrum and Sam Grainger. The team takes on the Ani-Men on this page and it features Colossus coming to the rescue of Wolverine who is getting a beat down from Cat-Man of all people! http:// Tales of Suspense 98 page 7- Another early appearance, this one is an early Black Panther appearance as he and Cap search for Sharon Carter and meet Zemo's men. Beautiful Jack Kirby/Joe Sinnott art, modern sized and a great battle page. Very hard to find Kirby/Sinnott Cap TOS pages. http:// Contact me either thru a PM or thru my ComicArtFans gallery: http://cafurl.com?i=148
  9. Art for Sale- Black Widow, Avengers, Perez, Gulacy, J G Jones Hi folks, I am doing a little spring cleaning and am offering these pieces for sale. I can be contacted either thru a PM here or thru my CAF gallery. I can accept paypal (fees go to buyer) and will ship internationally, provided the art is fully insured (or insured as much as can be) and traceable. Prices are pretty firm but I would be willing to listen to reasonable offers. So without further ado: Black Widow 3 (Variant cover): J G Jones revisits one of the characters he is most known for in this painted cover from 2014. This is actually 2 pieces- the Widow figure is on the one board and the bullseye and the cat is on a separate board (they were photo-shopped together during production). Modern sized art in excellent condition. and this is how it looks assembled: Black Widow pencil pin up: From the series that put J G Jones on the map, this penciled piece was originally published in a Wizard magazine and has many of the elements from that story arc, including Natasha, Yelena and Daredevil. This may have been in consideration to be used as a cover, I don’t remember. Here is a beautiful Paul Gulacy piece. This is the cover to Blue Diamond 2 from 1983, arguably the best of the series. This features Sybil Danning, a former “B” movie queen although this piece looks like it could have been done for the famed SQ Productions Black Widow portfolio. Modern Size art in excellent condition. Some of the background elements were done in marker, such as the docking station and have turned brown/purple. and the last one for now: Avengers 66 Cover: Here is a nice J G Jones Avengers Cover- this is from the popular Geoff Johns/Oliver Copiel Red Zone story line from 2003. This is fully painted art and is slightly oversized and in excellent condition. It features Captain America, the Scarlet Witch and the She Hulk. thanks for your time- hope to hear from some of you! Robert Frey
  10. you should contact albert moy- he reps jim lee. i am sure he could hook you up with something.
  11. i was the seller of the byrne iron man page- pretty disappointed by that result, actually.
  12. morgan, why would you be happy with something that is probably overpriced or over exaggerated just because it is authentic? isn't all original art authentic? you set your sights too low. you should be happy when you get something decent at a fair price. you work hard for your money- you should want to keep some of it.
  13. 34k in "trade"? my friend, for the 27k that you are spending on cool prints (but something they could generate more of tomorrow), you could get a pretty darn good alex ross original painting, one of one, to display on your wall..................... they are doing you no favors with their "trade".
  14. i am also a big fan of George's work and am very happy to hear that he is feeling better. He has such a positive outlook- that should help him immensely. Get well soon!
  15. honestly, while i was initially up in the air on this piece, the stamp from the estate was what convinced me this was legit kirby.
  16. actually, with the seller's premium, it was over a 6k loss.
  17. most of what i was watching went for lower to significantly lower than i thought.
  18. For me: Jack Kirby - Captain America George Perez- Avengers Barry Windsor-Smith- Conan John Buscema- Avengers with honorable mention to some of my favorite Doc Strange artists- Brunner, Rogers, Paul Smith, Colan.........
  19. how about BWS? he went from someone who strongly emulated Kirby to then transitioned to his Art Noeveau style all over a few years.
  20. He also had page 20 where the morlocks begin to attack the X-men and Callisto takes out Storm with a slingshot. Paul also inked that page as well.
  21. Richard Rae had those pieces and is in Australia- I am sure that is not a coincidence.... the Steranko/Buckler is light boxed- if you search the archives here, you can see the whole glorious conversation about it, ..............
