  1. I tried. I hate it. I missed all the things I bought to sell and didn't keep myself.
  2. You know it's an old article when your contact email is @aol.com BTW, at the time that I joined, there were still many on the boards that were on dial up modems and complained about the size of the pictures at times.
  3. What has changed on these boards over the last 20+ years? Greggy used to post long and elaborate posts that took up many, many paragraphs at times and were very insightful into the hobby. Now, in his old age, he usually replies with an emoji or "That's what she said". Thank goodness the days of Strawberry Shortcake are in the past.
  4. My favorite time of the year. And for my Canadian and British friends, It's my favourite time of the year.
  5. I would suspect that those, like me, who had the boards bookmarked and went to the old address and saw that there was a 502 error, most will chalk it up to "the boards are down again" Out of pure curiosity I went to the main cgc page and tried the "chat boards" link. @denaI think there should be a redirect to the new URL from the old one so members have a chance to change their bookmarks. Otherwise they'll just get a 502 error.
  6. If it were Sam L Jackson's Mace Windu, then the dialogue would have gone like this: "Hold your fire, men! Hold your mother f*(^$#@^# fire!"
  7. The thing is that since Blackstone recently purchased Reese Witherspoon's production company, Hello Sunshine, for $1 Billion it now views CGC as chump change so it's back on AOL 56K dialup service running on a server that was made by Radio Shack.
  8. One last bump. You'll kick yourself in the future for not snagging it at this price.
  9. Yeah, that and the moderation is going to the dogs. I got a listing pulled because I didn't state my return policy. Easy solution - just drop a note or comment like many members do that there's something missing. The thing is that it's been a boilerplate I've used for years and now it's a problem. I think I've received more warnings/strikes over the last 6-8 months than I've had over the last almost 15 years. I sometimes wonder if these boards are being outsourced abroad and the people who are now managing it just don't get how to keep a board humming along.

  12. There's 65 total in the census of this edition but 23 SS. With how actors are charging these days, can you imagine the small fortune it would cost these days to get all these people (11 in total) to get it signed and witnessed?
  13. 13 in the census. This one if part of Otto Binder's collection - has his typed name and notes inside including "Story from cover not in magazine" or something to that affect.
  14. The first episode did not disappoint - great animation, too. In fact I would love to see that story arc expand and extend to a full on series, to be honest.
  15. This is the one at Pike's Place. They sold me a Spidey 90 something with married cover and everything was overpriced already 15 years ago. Nice place to go for tourists, not really for collectors. Story has it that back in the day the owner of that place saw the potential of AF15 and ASM 1 and would offer $1 for each back in the late 60s early 70s. He had a stack of each a couple of feet high on his counter and cashed in at some point.
  16. If it lasts for more than 4 hours he should seek medical attention.
  17. And by the way, congratulations and best of luck!
  18. I saw you in the news the other day...
  19. I pre ordered the Stan Lee deluxe from Iron Studios a year ago and it showed up today. A nice piece for the price although it was smaller than I had envisioned.
  20. I have no idea what that sketch is. Is that Wolverine's armpit or what?
  21. No wonder he was always so grumpy. Probably due to what he ate.
  22. "Florida Man" and "Texas Man" are hard to distinguish these days.
  23. Yeah, but what's his second appearance?
