  1. Best of luck to you. One rather large win (which I got up charged for). Most were I expected but CGC loves to hammer DC Bronze horror - a few got nailed - which has been par for the course on these.
  2. Update for Vintage slow track. Maybe I just got lucky but my 25 book 3/12 submission moved to shipped today - business day 30 by my count. Hope others are seeing movement as well.
  3. Being stuck in GEI hell is no fun - but glad this thread exists to better understand a reasonable date for sub to change to shipped.
  4. Seems encapsulation (or packaging) is backed up.
  5. I have a 25 book vintage submission with 3/12 ‘received date’ and also moved to GEI on 4/17. Hoping it ships today but not holding my breath as not at G/QC yet. and one of the books got up charged to the unlimited tier - so really anxious to see grades.
  6. These are very cool OO books David. I remember when you posted them on IG raw. CGC loves to hammer grades on these.
  7. Some really tough GMs. Anyone have a #9 they'd sell me? Pretty please.
  8. just the two books today - thanks for looking
  9. Phantom Stranger #10 (1970) CGC 8.5 CR/OW pages - amazing Adams greytone cover removed
  10. House of Mystery #209 (1972) CGC 8.0 OW/W pages - killer Wrightson cover removed
  11. Sending these over to my auction pile. Thread is closed No Probies, HOSers, or anyone on my personal naughty list. First (or other clear claims, takes, etc.) in thread wins over any PM discussions or PM takes. US only (no international). Payments accepted: Zelle (preferred) or PayPal. Shipping is included. No returns. Payment required within 3 days of claim, unless something else is agreed upon before book is claimed, otherwise book will be relisted and you will be added to my personal naughty list. Thanks for looking.
  12. Updated group shot of my CFD registry set - just one single 9.8 to go (#7 limited - deluxe letterbox) and it's companion set - Dawn (1995)
  13. Not so sure about that but thank you. It’s been a long (and fun) journey. Likely. Someone got an even better deal second time around if that book is really 9.6.
  14. FINALLY! It’s been more than 3 years since I’ve had an upgrade to my CFD set. This #5 limited is now 1 of 2 in grade. Only one more 9.8 to go. A #7 limited (deluxe letterbox edition). Still zero on census in 24+ years of CGC slabbing books. Wild! Extremely happy to finally get this #5 limited, been a long road.
  15. In my 30 or so years collecting CFD, I found an item I had never seen before. Couldn’t remember if I’ve ever shared here before or not. Couldn’t find anything on it so I reached out to Joe Linsner, who confirmed this appears to be photocopy of issue 1 that they used to shop around to prospective publishers. Said he hadn’t seen one in many years. They ultimately published the book themselves but this seems like a very cool item that pre-dates #1. Figured I’d share here for anyone searching this thread.
  16. This old sketch book went for some pretty big bucks. Very cool item. Was hoping to win it but too rich for me.
  17. Crazy tough book in true high grade. Zero 9.8s prior to 2020. Now 2, both of which I owned (sold one to another CFD fanatic). Always has rusty staples inside at centerfold. If you are lucky enough to find one with clean staples - that shiny red cardboard cover shows every possible tiny defect and 9 times out of 10 it can’t be pressed out. Tbh I’m surprised that book didn’t go for more than it did.
  18. Posted in WTB thread as well. Anyone have a look sharp alphabet book they’d sell? A-Z copies. Example below (not mine).
