  1. I haven't gotten your text yet with the spreadsheet of times and coin total yet. Is your battery dead?
  2. Harlan Ellison gave the keynote one night at the Diamond Con in '93. It was beautiful, centering on his love of the comic medium. What a con that was.
  3. I might just subscribe to PS+. That will let me play some God of War title plus Oddworld (haven't played that in many. many years). Might give it a whirl vs buying new discs. I enjoyed GamePass at one time.
  4. That could be enough to convince me to try the title. Have a PS5 and never played the games. Been looking for something new.
  5. 750 copies X $85 each = $63,750 (assuming none sold at $100 just for simplicity) Let's be ultra generous and say that there was overhead (Crain's fees, CGC fees, Marvel printing and acetate printing) SWAG of $25,000. That's still a very nice afternoon of "work"
  6. I hope CGC doesn't change their stance. I have what I consider an amazing idea for an acetate variant. I promise I really will sell it and all profits will go to charity. Can't disclose it here. Wouldn't want @seanfingh to line jump me.
  7. If you like that, try searching in IMs!
  8. Let me join the chorus. I'm through Ep7. I do think Ep1-2 are a little of a slow burn, even for a diehard like myself, but still fantastic. Ep6 is just beautiful in so many ways. For those through Ep3: As I said, Ep6 is amazing, truly. I fanboy'ed out the hardest for that one. Knowing that show hasn't even been greenlit for a S2, I am really mixed about burning through the next few episodes. Knowing Netflix' economically motivated propensity to kill shows after a S2 anyway, I am nervous about any longterm prospects anyway. BUT, it is THE #1 show in like 90 Netflix worldwide markets. And I can't be happier about it.
  9. I love HBO Max as it sits right now, content-wise. Part of that is that I get it free through AT&T wireless. Also, the app is crap. All this talk of tentpole movie and delays through other channels before streaming, I came up with an idea. Maybe a popular movie can be released just in theaters at first? Then, after people stop going to theaters to see it, it could be made available in a physical medium (IDK, maybe a digital, optically read disc of some kind) for short term rentals that enthusiasts could view in their own homes with a small machine. Perhaps even make that medium available for purchase to people who want to watch it more than once or don't want to be constrained with a time limitation. We could call it One last opportunity might be to have a service available via a subscription, that after a movie has been in the theaters and following a time only available via rental/purchase, these movies could be broadcast to subscriber. We could call it
  10. I'm many hours into Cyberpunk. Once again, the devs made an absolutely humongous world to explore with an infinite amount of small touches. Overall very enjoyable, but there are weird glitches from time to time in the gameplay, story triggering and visuals. Still recommended.
  11. Lord, this is a microcosm of how contracts get SO complicated. One person gets burned or inconvenienced a little and a new rule/contract term has to be added, despite the chances of it happening again being pretty miniscule. We had to have SOME rules as people used to get burned frequently or the sales forum was a mess to navigate, but you folks are off the deep end on needing a rule for every possible scenario. If you are selling it, you're responsible to make sure it is described right and ready to ship to the buyer and gets there in the same condition. This proactive disclosure is just silly and almost certainly won't be followed anyway and/or isn't needed for reputable sellers to begin with.
  12. As a comics fan you should be happy with the Guardians game. It’s good. Have to say, 100% agree. GOTG is a really fun game. Great, if slightly non-canon, story and writing. Was a blast to play through. Wasn't a short game, but not overly long. If anything, would have wanted more to be there just bc it was a good time.
  13. Finished S3 last night. Strongly recommend rewatching S1-2 if you haven't recently. There are plenty of callbacks in the new season. Loved the season overall. In some ways, even more than S1, which has been my favorite to date.
  14. 1000 times out of 1000, I'd rather mail in books of the very high grade and valuable, but not TOOOO valuable, variety. I've seen people at the CGC booth get a little grabby with drop offs. At least, that was what I experienced years ago when people still went to cons where CGC accepted books in person. Just that, between damage occurring to a well packed group of books vs. damage occurring to a stack of raws as they go in box after box at CGC's booth, I'll take my chances with the mail.
  15. Lol. You won't get notes on a 9.8. I have a 9.0 that has no notes. They are not guaranteed for any grade.
  16. I like coming after dinner. I may not get to handle an Action 1, but people are lubricated by then and tolerate me better.
