  1. Hi Steve - my 13 like I said above is missing the CF but, you're right, it is a cool book. Took some pics of some splashes to share
  2. I forgot about this one. I am posting it even though it is in an alien slab because I have already submitted and it is CGC's hands for the cross-over special. I assume it will keep the designation but I haven't seen the interior as it was bought in the voldy.
  3. Thanks RM. Yours are great. I had actually forgotten about the missing CF om the 13 and was going to send it to CGC but I always count pages and look through before I do. It is really nice and tight otherwise. Oh well, still looks great in mylar.
  4. I posted my meager Prizes in the group shot thread but thought I would show again. I also have a really nice copy of #13 I've had for years shown below BUT it is missing the CF - pages are nice, everything tight, dang
  5. I did this every time I had "relations" with my ex-wife.
  6. A couple more I would cobble onto my list would be the 1960s Marvel cartoons including the first Spider-man and FF shows plus the ones below. I mean Marvel heroes on TV for me as a kid would always be a winner. The shorts may have been static animation but I could care less and who doesn't love a good cheesy theme intro which these and especially the Spidey had. And one other was Pirates of Dark Water.
  7. Yeah the Tick cartoon and for that matter first live action show were great.
  8. Hi Nick It has been a while, hope all is well. I never watched this show. I was getting out of new comic buying around the time Xenozoic Tales came out so never read the comic either. I will give this a watch - seemed like a premise I would like.
  9. Star Trek: TAS (which is actually my second favorite ST series behind TOS) The New Adventures of Flash Gordon (awesome animation and stories - so true to the Alex Raymond stories) Tarzan Lord of the Jungle (again very true to ERB's original) The Filmation DC shorts (JLA, GL, Teen Titans, Supes, Atom, Flash, Aquaman..) Fleischer Studios 1940s Superman (animation that still is amazing) Dungeons and Dragons Filmation Batman Series Blackstar Thundarr the Barbarian Scooby Doo Where are You (1st series) Jonny Quest (1st series)
  10. I think you have to contact a mod as they do not actively monitor all posts. I could report the post for you because it doesn't appear you can click the report post if it is your own post.
  11. Sorry to hear this, Patrick. It has been a while (several years) but if memory serves correctly, I purchased some books from this seller and the shipment was very slow. I cannot remember all the details but I did get my books after lots of PM prompting from me. Your situation is different as you are waiting on a refund. You might want to provide some more details as I assume you made a purchase and returned books, e.g., time frames of purchase, contact to return books, actual return of books, contacts to seller and anything else you think is pertinent. Have you let him know you are seeking guidance from the forum as to next steps?
  12. Reading through his wikipedia page, Ferstadt died in 1954 so if he did sign it or even stamp, it goes back a ways. Also, he identified as a communist. A Jewish American who was born in Russia. From a wiki image, working on a mural. His collection of art lie in the New York Public Library, Whitney Museum of American Art, the Tel Aviv Museum and the Jewish museum of Birobidzhan.
  13. pictorial stories of the golden west to pioneer picture stories
  14. Yes he did and I am so envious - that is amazing. There is a thread in the Sig forum showing off his SS books. I have most if not all of his portfolios with his sig but I would really like to have FF SS book - again, awesome book, Squeggs.
  15. I'll get a better scan of my one and only camp-coded - here it is for comparison also. Ink is not as legible as others
  16. I still aspire to have the rarity of books you have, Corey. You know it fun as I go through these boxes which I haven't opened in years, actually decades, I forget what I have and this one is rough and crumbly but it is a neat discovery. Two copies would be great or even more but anymore, these books are sky high and I am fond of my internal organs which I would have to sell to grab some of these, I am saving one of kidneys for a Cap 1 so one organ is already spoken for
  17. It's hard to see so I will try and take a closer pic but you can maybe make out the outline of the rectangular stamp and the ink smear from when you use a stamp but now that I look my closely at the letters, they do seem to be freehand. Would be cool if in his own hand and it is actually his sig.
  18. Lots of differences to my untrained eyes - so different coders, I assume? Thanks for posting them.
  19. Probably a stupid question but are we sure it was same person who penned the Okajima on the camp-coded books? If not, could that be why the variation in handwriting?
  20. So I am going through my boxes trying to slowly pare down the collection and add items to Ebay. I have an extremely low grade copy of Four Favorites #8 - complete but spine completely split and all pages detached and brittle pages but as I was taking pictures I noticed the signature (actually think it is a stamp) of Louis Ferstadt who was the artist and I didn't realize until I googled him was also a painter and muralist. I do wonder if this could have been his personal copy since it appears to be a stamped signature. And not trying to pump my Ebay listing because now I probably won't list it Anyway, I just thought it was kind of cool and intriguing. Here are some pics - Look in the number 4 below the word Favorites.
