This Collection has a lot of awesome books but over 60% of the books have the "Original Owners Name" inside on the splash page and a single hole punch on the Comics Code Authority box.... The Original Owner's name was Dave Read.... so I am calling this collection the "DRead" collection.... This was a very intresting collection primarily of Silver Age Marvels... with a handful of DC's. I have spoken to a bunch of my mentors on how to grade books with a single hole punch discretely placed on the cover only.... and the guidance I have been given is grade the book with out the hole punch and deduct 1.0 grade from there... and that how I have everything graded. Overview: Over the next 3-4 weeks I will be listing the first 500 books of a 3000 book collection founded in Thunder Bay (north shore of Lake Superior). The collection is composed of mainly silver through copper age marvels. Most of the collection ranges from very good to NM+ with the majority in VF condition. Of note, because of the cool temperatures and low humidity in the Northern Ontario region, many of the issues exhibit snowy white page quality even with the available silver age issues. This first 500 books will be the keys, minor keys and speculation books. The remaining books will mostly be sold as group lots. In addition, there maybe a smattering of other books, including key CGC books. As always I try and price books for the collector, as I’m primarily a collector myself. Lastly, for the fun of the sale, I’m calling this group of books the “Sleeping Giant Collection". *none of the books that will be listed have been pressed to my knowledge.
