Just over 200 issues. I believe I counted 202. The first “I’ll take it” - takes it. There are many here that if they come back 9.8 in a CGC slab would be worth over $100. The Batman 612 and the 612 Sketch have a real chance and so do the 608’s along with Batman & Robin #1 just as examples. I cannot guarantee they would but there is low risk when you are paying less than $3.67 an issue and I don’t have many fillers here (most are sought after issues with varying degrees). Again - FREE shipping and shipping won’t be cheap on this. I would estimate about 150 issues are NM (Near Mint), 40 are VF (Very Fine) and the rest are F (Fine). I was going to slab all the X-Men 1991 series X-Men that I believe would come back 9.8 (I’d estimate at least 20+ conservatively), a few of the more desirable issues of the Batman series - around 6 I’d believe would have a chance at 9.8, I was going to slab most all the Predator issues since I love these issues and believe most all would be between 9.2-9.8, I also wanted to slab about 5 of the Transformer issues and feel they’d get between 9.4-9.8, I was going to slab at least 8 to 10 of the X-Men Forever Alpha and One Shots and would expect 9.2-9.8 on these. Lastly, I was going to slab about 8 of the more sought after Uncanny X-Men issues and would expect 8.5-9.4 on those. There are a few more I would have possibly slabbed like the Bane and Batman cover even though the spine is in bad shape. The New Mutants would be a good one to slab along with the Annuals of the UnCanny X-Men. Some pics are just to get close-ups, but I do have a lot of the 1991 X-Men (look at the biggest zoomed out shots to get an idea of how many are in the one picture).

I take Paypal, MO's or checks. Shipping in the US is $6.00 for a well packed Flat Rate envelope. use at least one Gator board plus cardboard. Someone once told me you could drive a truck over the Gator boards, I have not tried that;) but they are strong. I can fit up to 2 books safely in a FR envelope, after that I'll use a box (no extra charge). If you want to start with a box, I charge exact shipping. If you are out of the US, I'll ship however you'd like, for the exact amount. Out of the US, please pm me before buying if you need a shipping price. I pay for private insurance so that is included. If the book is over $250, it must go signature required. That means if you are out of the US and it's over $250 it has to go priority or Fedex. I take returns for any reason, but you must let me know within 3 days of receipt and the book must be returned within 7 days shipped the way I sent it and packed it.. Buyer pays return shipping. First Take it wins, but I must see the take it if it's in a pm, if I have not acknowledged a take it in a pm, and someone posts one on the boards, then the board one wins (because it's sometimes hard to see the time in a PM). Ok, first the Rules. No bad people, HOS or Probationers. First unconditional in the thread wins, trumps all PM agreements. Shipping is $15 USPS Priority in US for up to 2 books and then double for each additional 2 books (Sorry, I don't know of any way to safely pack more than 2 slabs at a time yet), and will be a discussion for overseas and Canada, eh. Payment is PayPal, Personal Check (has to clear before book will be sent out) and Money Order (also has to clear before book sent out). No returns on CGC Slabs Reasonable offers and reasons for offers always listened to! Forgot to mention, NONE OF THESE WERE PRESSED! All were submitted raw by me and never seen the inside of a press. Some would probably jump a .2 or more so keep that in mind. Will leave this up until Thursday night - or everything is sold. -
I recently acquired this copy of Batman 155 first silver age appearance of the penguin. the pictures online made it look like there were smudges/dirt specifically in the area between the penguin and Robin. once I receive the book and held it in my hands I saw that those smudges were actually a form of ink shadowing, you can see it’s like Robins glove and hair I’m not sure what the technical term for this is called has anyone seen something like this before.

I've been on a tear of good luck with some buys lately and need to sell some stuff to fund the purchases. Hate to let this one go as I'd recently upgraded but planned to hang onto this for a few years as the price has yet to catch up with its significance. A hot book that is finally getting the recognition it deserves as the start point for the Bronze Age in Gotham and the beginning of the epic Adams/O'Neil run: Detective 395! A really nice copy for the grade, super-sharp wrap that runs perfectly along the spine which is tough on this issue and really just some edge wear around the perimeter and on the corners of this sensitive black cover. The spine is crisp and I really only see one or two very minor tics along the edge (non-color breaking). Surprised it got the Ow-W designation as the colors on the front are brilliant (color balance in my photo is a bit off and makes the reds a little orangey, it's much nicer in-hand) and the white word balloons show virtually no indication of aging. I've been very satisfied with this copy and had hoped to hang onto it for many years even with the upgrade as I'm sure this is going to appreciate nicely over the years. With my luck the next Batman movie will be "The Secret of the Waiting Graves". Not sure if it's been pressed or not as I'm not the original submitter, so just assume it has or turned a blind eye. Sorry for the garbage pic of the back, didn't take any back photos when I photographed my collection so just wanted to get something up for adequate representation.
