Hi everyone! It’s been quite awhile since I ran a sales thread here. My desire would have been to start with some interesting comics material from the WW2 period (including late 1930s and immediate post-war years), mostly non-USA, but this has proven a bit difficult to get sorted, so while I prepare it, I considered selling the few duplicated Marvel SA-BA books that I have left. I will offer the books in small batches. I will invoice regularly at the end of each batch, and very likely most of the already posted will be deleted and moved elsewhere. I will also probably add more books in the following weeks, non-Marvel and some 1950s books, but not a huge amount of material. As a general rule, I always try to price fairly but I will not offer discounts. Of course I will combine shipping costs and try to have the less expensive options from Italy. You can find my kudos thread here. I try to grade books accurately but I’m no professional grader – mostly the grade listed is the grade I’d be satisfied with if I was the buyer. The Fourteenth California Comic Convention ( CalComicCon ) will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2020. The show will be held in Orange County in Costa Mesa, held just miles from Disneyland and other attractions. We will continue to have a raffle that will have CGC graded comics, original artwork and sketches by guest artists. This year our show will be at the Westin South Coast plaza and we will have a Saturday Comic Swap and artist reception on Saturday the 25th. Advance purchases will get three tickets, with a chance at a special online ticket holder only raffle. CGC will again be taking comic submissions and doing signature witnessing. Vancouver (BC) Comic and Toy Show returns Sunday October 24, 2021 to the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) at Hastings and Renfrew Streets at FULL capacity. Family fun at a comic book centric show (golden age to modern comics, mags, graphic novels, some artwork) plus toys, action figures, Funko Pop and cosplay too. Giant-size hourly door prizes of 3 x $100 gift cards and 3 x $50 gift cards plus more (Toy Traders warehouse bucks) to be handed out. 200 8 foot dealer's tables already sold. Non-wall vendor's tables at $90 each (plus GST) being wait-listed. Adult admission $14. Tickets sold online via the PNE weblink. Extra marketing being done via PNE event contacts list. Masks are mandatory. All attendees and vendors over age 12 should have their second COVID-19 vaccine shot plus at least 10 days by Oct. 24 per BC Health guidelines that start that Sunday for indoor public trade shows. Little Giant Comics OLD SCHOOL COMIC SHOW Everett Arena in Concord NH April 28th from 10a-5p This will be an OLD SCHOOL comic show like back in the day, GREAT COMICS, GREAT ART & THE ARTISTS THAT CREATED THEM! Here's the deal, I wanted to create the kind of show I would want to attend. GREAT COMICS, GREAT ART & ARTISTS! I want to enter a room filled with amazing comics, incredible art and talented artists, I don't think that's too much to ask. Seems like every show I attend only has a small amount of comic vendors (usually the same 3 or 4 people I see at every show), the rest of the floor is fidget spinners, Cosplay stopping in front of your booth for photo shoots, sweaty ROOT BEER mugs everywhere dripping on your comics or art, Pirates running around, knick knack patty whacks, energy drinks, Ice Cream vendors and flea market fodder........ I am thinking of submitting a few of my comics for grading. This is my first time so I hoping to get an estimated grade before I contact CGC and some advice. I do not plan on selling these so is it worth it to have them graded in the first place? Would they benefit from pressing, restoration and any other services provided by CGC. The contagion curve in Italy has started to settle down, so I have decided to go back to some selling/buying. Hi, I have a Batman 232 whose grade was considered on the average 3.5 on a post that I opened here: One comment believes in 3.0, the other in 3.5 and one in 4.0 (with a slim chance of 4.5). So I will go with 3.5 on the average List of problems: "First there is writing on the lower right corner of the cover, as can be seen in details on images 3. There is a hole made by an insect close to one of Batman's ear. It's not that big on the cover, but on the front cover is quite noticeable (image 2). The back cover has two big folding marks, something printed on it (don't remember how it's called in English), some stains and some small pieces missing, especially on it's bottom and on the superior left corner There is creases around the lower staple and another one close to the bottom of the spine (image 4). There is smaller creases around the middle of the spine (image 5). On the superior part of the spine, there is small creases close to the staple and a small piece of the cover missing, slight above Batman's hand. Besides that, the spine is rolled and the staples are somewhat rusty. Plus the spine is "dirty" I want $185 plus $15 for shipping (with insurance). So $200 on total. I can do cheaper shipping (can be as low as $3) but I do not recommend it, since it will not have insurance. I can do Ebay, as long as one is willing to pay the extra 10% and ship with insurance. untilThe Fourteenth California Comic Convention ( CalComicCon ) will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2020. The show will be held in Orange County in Costa Mesa, held just miles from Disneyland and other attractions. We will continue to have a raffle that will have CGC graded comics, original artwork and sketches by guest artists. This year our show will be at the Westin South Coast plaza and we will have a Saturday Comic Swap and artist reception on Saturday the 25th. For more information see web-site: California Comic Convention All paid admissions will receive a raffle ticket, extra ticket can be purchased at the show. Advance purchases will get three tickets, with a chance at a special online ticket holder only raffle. CGC will again be taking comic submissions and doing signature witnessing. This year the California Comic Convention will continue to place emphasis on vintage comic books. see dealers list and pics from past shows. Dealers and collectors from all over the country will be at the show. The show will be held from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM; tickets are $20 and parking is $10.
