Hi Folks, Many of you may already know, after 12 years of work and searching, I have successfully put together a wonderful full run of slabbed Planet Comics that I recently Highlighted over in the Golden Age Section. It is a difficult decision for me, but after having achieved a full run of books and having had the opportunity to enjoy them all for a few months I have decided on a pretty big change. With the exception of about five issues which have promised to other boardies I am planning on listing for sale in this thread almost every slabbed copy I own of the Planet Comics from issues #72 down to issue #23. I am keeping issues #1-22 known as Rivet issues for myself and will be working on upgrading those over the coming years. The board has been such an amazing experience for me, and many of the Planet Comics in my run were sourced from or through fellow boardies here. I want to give my fellow boardies first crack at these books as I know there a quite a few other Planet Comics enthusiasts out there. There are a lot of incredible books in the group that is being offered for sale here. I have priced the books to the best of my ability through GPA and feedback from a couple of different folks familiar with the title. . Here are the rules: First in the thread trumps any PM discussions or agreements in process and not secured in the thread. All asking prices are in US dollars. Paypal is usually preferred for payment. I will also consider a cheque but keep in mind I am located in Canada, and this is where all books will ship from. No Hall of Shamers or folks on probation allowed to purchase these books. Shipping is included with all books to either Canada or Continental US destinations. International is ok, but you cover the difference for any excess postal charges I would have paid for Continental US destinations. Returns are accepted within one week of receipt of your book, book must be returned in the same condition it was sent out as, and return shipping is on your dime. I would prefer no time payments on these books, but I have been known to do this before for some established boardies. If you need a few weeks to pay if you purchase multiple books, I can also live with that. An pending back cover photo is acceptable if I do not provide one in the post. All the books are slabbed by CGC though, so you will have a pretty good idea of what you are getting based on the grade. I will not be entertaining offers or providing sneak peaks of pricing prior to listing each book. You can PM me an offer once a book is listed, but I likely wont even read the PM until after I am done listing all of the books. PM offers at your own risk. Well, lets get the show on the road... Tonight I will be listing about 22 Raw, Rare or in some cases, Scarce Batman and Detective Comics. All are raw, I've owned them for at least 15 years, maybe more. I have a smoke free home. At one time I was trying to fill in all the Action , Adventure, Batman, Superman etc comics from 100 and up. A lot of these books were hard to find, still are, so all I found were low grades and after a while, I just gave up. For most of these, unless in the case of the Wonder Womans I have a recent upgrade to base the prices on, I'm basing the prices on what I see closed on eBay. I will consider reasonable offers, esp. for more than 1 book), otherwise I'll just list the leftovers on eBay and keep my fingers crossed;) I wanted to offer them here first:) This thread will stay open until Sunday night at 8 pm. Since these are all raw books, I'm pricing by looking at completed prices on eBay, then I deduct what fees would cost me and a little more. I accept Paypal, checks or Money orders. First here or in a pm wins, by time stamp. If I can't determine the time stamp, the board take it wins. I will send invoices at the end, once you get the invoice, payment is due within 3 days unless we have discussed other arrangements. If you need time payments, it's not a problem, but please PM me before taking anything. Prices are going to be low on these books (at least I think they are low) All the books are raw, A few notes. None to the best of my knowledge,have been pressed or cleaned. I count the pages on every book. I look at the centerfolds to make sure they are attached, if they aren't, I note it. I look for missing coupons, and I grade the way I'd like someone else to grade for something I'm buying, but anyone can miss something or make a mistake. So...If I left anything out, just ask. I take returns on anything. If you aren't happy for any reason, plmk within 3 days of receipt. If I ask you to return the book, then I expect the return within 7 days, packed the same way I sent it. If you just changed your mind, shipping is on you. If I made a mistake, return shipping is on me. Shipping, I will charge exact shipping, but I will discount if you buy a certain amount. Spend $100 and get $5.00 off shipping, $200 and get $10 off shipping, if you spend $300 or more, I'll ship for free (in the US, in Canada I'll split shipping with you if you spend more than $300). If you live anywhere else, just pm me for shipping estimates before you buy anything. For the USA, I use regional boxes whenever it lowers the shipping price. I don't charge for handling. All books are bagged and boarded, most are going to be in new bags and boards. Most are in Mylite 2's and hardbacks, although I've had to combine because I try to replace all bags and boards and I'm running out;). I can ship 2 regular (1 Giant) books in a cardboard mailer for about $3.50 3-5 books in a flat rate envelope with very strong boards (one will have a wood veneer) for $6.50 12 books in a regional box A for about $8 east coast, $11 West coast. (if it's less I charge the exact amount.) A regional box B is slightly higher but holds at least 20 books. I do not ship comics media mail, because the Post Office states they can not be shipped media (it's in their regulations) and I don't want to be responsible if there is a problem. Tracking is included and so is insurance (I pay for private insurance.). If you buy more than $200 worth of books, signature required is a must, but I pay for that in the US, in Canada, those packages must go priority. I can ship first class to Canada, but its not cheap. Max is 4lbs. I'm going to add a lot of freebies on the thread. I also add some kind of free gift to each order. -

Just saw this story. A local man bought a Golden Age Flash panel page in the 1970's for $7(!) at a comics shop. A Local appraiser concluded it was a $3000 to $4000 page. The art is by Carmine Infantino. Can anyone identify what comic this is from, and do any of you disagree with that appraisal? (The Appraiser is not an OA specialist). To me, it seems a bit high. Comedy Comics 20 World War II vintage Timely First wrap and second leaf (half wrap) are a little raggedy here and there, and the first wrap is detached, and there's a large tear from the spine into the pages both front and back, and split about three inches upper spine. CF is still attached but barely hanging on. Asking $10 SOLD!
