Hi there, New to the boards. Looking to purchase this TOS 39 from my local comic shop. The cover is detached, the tape is the only thing holding the cover together. Book is complete otherwise. Has it listed as a 1.8, I agree with the condition but just worried about CGC grading. Will this still get me a blue label? Thanks for the info.

Just recieved the new Layton Iron man Artist Select Hardcover. Nicely made book with some great stories and art in it. I received the sketch edition with this character in it. Can someone tell me, who the "f" is that?? I feel a little disappointed! oh well!!

For sale is a CGC 6.0 of Iron Man 55. This is the first appearance of Thanos and Drax the destroyer as I am sure most of you know. This is a great looking copy, there is some moderate foxing, mostly on the back so unless you display it backwards Normal rules apply.. no pros and ho's. Paypal, check or money order, but will not ship until money is cleared if by check. First will get the comic and my gratitude and respect (not worth much but still throwing it in) I can send more pictures if needed. No returns, please be sure that you want the comic before buying! Pages are yellowish but don't seem bad. No damage inside. Can't wait to get it graded. I think it looks great but I'm VERY new to this so I'd love to hear informed opinions. Thanks in advance.

My friends over at Comiclink usually do a great job of listing my consigned artwork in their upcoming auctions but this page might slip through the cracks as it is listed under penciler Alex Saviuk .Saviuk did a great job penciling this but what makes this page very special is the characters , with money shots of Marvel heroes Spider-man and Iron Man and great action as they battle each other .On top of that the page is written and signed by Stan Lee and inked and signed by Joe Sinnott. So that’s Spider-man,Iron Man, Stan Lee ,and Joe Sinnott .That’s just about everything that made the Marvel Universe great (with the exception of Kirby) on one great page. Hello all, hoping someone can help me here - my friend has a copy of Iron Man #1 1968, CGC Signature Series 6.5 with Stan Lee's signature. He wants to sell it to me for $800; I love Iron Man and used to collect a bunch of this series' comics but have no idea if this is a good price/investment or not. From looking at Go Collect Comics and eBay, they seem to range in value from $620-750. Do you think I should buy this? Is this a good price/investment? Thoughts? Thank you so much in advance!

Hey All! We're going to do a week before the Superbowl Sales Thread starting today and likely running all week. We'll do recaps every FIVE pages or so because we have a pretty huge pile of books to get through. Some good stuff, some mediocre stuff but there will be a LOT of books in the $1-$5 range as well as some nice Silver and Bronze books and maybe even a Golden Age book or two. We will be mixing in some vintage and newish toys and collectibles to keep it interesting and mostly-- we want to have some fun. The we is Andy, Joe and Adam Fish-- we sell under the eBay name RoboPicto and we have a Kudos thread here on the ol' boards. Some rules 1- No HOS or Probation Folks. 2- We are honest sellers, be honest buyers. Returns are acceptable if you think something isn't right-- but you pick up the return shipping, it must come back within 14 days and you must notify us within 3 of getting it before you return it and it must be in the same condition as we sent it out. 3-Domestic Shipping inside the 48 States will be $4.50 as a base and then multiples of that as you buy more books. But here's the deal-- we charge only what it costs to ship so you aren't paying any handling fees. Shipping has gotten a little expensive especially if you're on the West Coast (we are on the East Coast). We strongly suggest using PRIORITY MAIL because it gets to you fast and safe and you long forget about what you spent on shipping as you're awash in happy comic books, but if you want to go cheaper we can do that. Media mail don't work for comics kids, because there is advertising in it, but you've got the first class option up to 15 or so oz and Parcel Post if you're really hoping to save some dough and you're not in a hurry to get your books. 4- International Shipping (and this includes Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico) is more expensive. How much more? I dunno. But since we only charge what it costs to ship you're paying what it is. That's the best I can do. 5- Payment by Paypal, Personal Check (must clear first) or Postal Money Order are all acceptable forms of payment. Payment within 3 days of the invoice is requested but if you run up a large total and need more time that's something we'll happily talk about. 6- A TAKE IT trumps any negotiations by PM. 7- We'll do recaps every 5 pages to keep it easy to shop-- as said this is a pretty large lot of books and potentially could run several dozen pages. 8- Sale will start Sunday Jan 28th around 5pm Eastern time and we'll spread it out over a few days but we'll let you know in advance which days. 9- While we're happy to take PMs we don't check messages while we're posting so keep that in mind. hello, I'm new to this forum and was wondering what everyone's thoughts were about restoration, I recently acquired a tales of suspense 39 in a cgc .5 grade. The reason for this grade is the book was torn in half vertically then reattached with tape. I asked cgc what options I had and they mentioned mending the pages with rice paper after removing the tape. This method would give the book a qualified grade of 4.0-5.0, would this be worth doing to this type of book or just leave it alone?( the cost runs about $1000 max but could be less) -
