Fresh in today.  Once you get past what is arguably Margaret Brundage's most sensational (and I use that word specifically) cover, it features the last Lovecraft story published during Lovecraft's lifetime.  Two stories, actually; since there's one of his collaborations in there as well; I think one of only 3 magazines that had multiple original Lovecraft stories.

Extraordinarily happy to get this one.

Fantastic Adventures Vol 13 Number 12 has anyone read this or know if its any good?

I've read the first of the 3 Jongor novels - good easy old-fashioned fantastic adventure. I'm sure your (#3) would be the same.

My favorite pulp of all time.

I wish I had one, but it’s up there with the tec27, action1 museum artifact crowd.  + it seems harder to find than those.

Just picked up this Fantasy Book 6 (1950) with the first Cordwainer Smith story, "Scanners Live in Vain."

I asked Doug Ellis, who owns an extensive collection of pulps and original pulp art, and he said it's not known to exist.  He added that ERB was offered the original painting around 1915 but thought the asking price was too high and did not buy it.

ERB did purchase quite a few Allen St John paintings of Tarzan and other Burroughs' characters.  I believe those still mostly reside with the family.

In a weird way, I like they way they scratched out the 25c price and stamped the 50c price on instead.  Looks a lot better than most alterations of that sort.

Something a little different. This is just a brutal wartime cover. So not "pc" today but really shows the feelings of Americans during WWII.

Just got this in hand - it's a lot smaller than I expected. Not much bigger than a paperback.

Does anyone know if all the issues of Fantasy Book were in the same small format?

You guys are talking about the October 1912 Tarzán cover, correct? Not the actual All Story 1?
