Art behind glass: Show off your framed art!

Hi,

I bought the watercolor and cards on EBay. A local shop did the framing and matting for me, Art and Frame Depot, in Apple Valley Minnesota. I drew out what I wanted done and picked the colors of the matting, and they followed the instructions. I knew it was going to be on one of my blue walls, so did a navy and black mat, and the navy pulls out some of the blue in the watercolor. The painting is so much nicer than the cards turned out. The detail is really amazing. I guess Ian Miller (the artist) is known for his details.

Picked this up a while back, finally getting around to taking the picture and posting it. It's a Thing/Hulk sketch from Bob Layton. Had to wait for it for over a year, but it's worth it now.

Got it double-matted using The Thing's colors (blue for his trunks and orange for his skin).

lol I'd asked for a version of Layton's famous Iron Man cover "The Battle Below!" with Iron Man and the Hulk, with the Thing in place of Iron Man - but with all the delays, I guess he forgot what I wanted. Anyway, I got a Bob Layton sketch and Thing/Hulk is my favorite hero/hero match-up, so I'm happy. :)

Your father-in-law did a great job with covering up the personalization - it looks really cool!!

The sketch was a Christmas present from my wife and the custom frame and matte work was done by my father-in-law for my b-day. The matte work was done to cover up some personalization to previous owner. Anyhow, just got it today!

Great cover ! :applause:

Now I need an advice : I plan on framing my upcoming Mouse Guard page but am not sure if I should have a white or black frame.

Your opinion folks ?

What issue is TWD splash from? I'm only reading the trades.

Oh yeah, congrats.

The splash was done by Sean Phillips, and was published in the "The Artists of Splashpage Comic Art" book in 2007.

If you're referring to the other piece, it is the cover art to Walking Dead #7:
