is this a printing defect?

8 posts in this topic

I have attached a Journey into Mystery that I purchased as a 9.0 a while back. I was very happy with the comic, to me it looks at least 9.0, plus is very bright and glossy.

Execpt for the white dots that run along the bottom of the front cover. Are those from a printing defect? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif It does not look like danage to the comic, but I don't know. Has anyone seen this before? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif893scratchchin-thumb.gif How much does CGC count off for this sort of thing? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif893scratchchin-thumb.gif893scratchchin-thumb.gif

I don't know how to "host" it, so if someone could post the comic for all to see, that would be great.

Thanks,

Ross

It looks like the same defect as this thread...

If so, read the answer there.

If not, give a better scan so I can see it more clearly.

If that's the defect, CGC does not seem to be very hard on it.

I've seen some high grade books (9.4) with this defect.
