Creig Flessel - 1912-2008

As I read the news of Creig Flessel passing away my heart filled with sorrow and regret. I had intentions of traveling to Northern California and visiting my favorite comic book artist. I can regrettably never do this now, and my love and appreciation for his work will forever be know only by myself and fellow collectors. Creig Flessel was an amazing artist who lent his artistic hand to an industry that seemed trivial and childish at the time.

 

R.I.P Creig Flessel. You will be dearly missed

The man did live to 96 so I am happy he was able to live a long and full life. Also from the recent pictures it is obvious he had an active mind and was still mobile. Truly a legend and legend is always missed at any age they die.

Thanks for posting those amazing pics, Scott. A great talent and pioneer in the industry. He will be missed, although his contributions and his memory will live on.
