I really can't believe you have so many people that could easily be considered headliners! This is going to be a great show and I hope that the exclusives are as good (if that is even possible) as the guest list!

There should be some really cool exclusive comics this year. Things are being discussed and planned.

I can only stress how much the show has grown over the last two years, and that you will be amazed by more than just the guest list this year --- the publisher and corporate support has gone through the roof! The team has done an amazing job.

JOHN ROMITA, JR.

John Salvatore Romita, Jr.is an American comic book artist best known for his extensive

work for Marvel Comics from the 1970s to the 2000s. He is often referred to as JRJR (the

abbreviation of John Romita, Jr.) Romita was born in New York City, the son of John

Romita, Sr., co-creator of several notable Spider-Man stories in the 1960s and 1970s. He

began his career at Marvel UK, doing sketches for covers of reprints. His American debut

was with a six page story entitled "Chaos at the Coffee Bean!" in Amazing Spider-Man

Annual #11 (1977). Romita's early popularity began with his run on Iron Man with writer

David Michelinie and artist Bob Layton which began in 1978. Since then he has gone on to

become one of the industry?s premiere artists, with distinguished runs on titles such as

The Amazing Spider-Man, The Mighty Thor, Peter Parker Spider-Man, Punisher War Zone,

Invincible Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine, Black

Panther, Starbrand and mini-series and one-shots such as the Eternals, Ultimate Vision,

Marvel Super-Heroes Contest of Champions, Punisher/Batman, Cable, Spider-Man: The Lost

Years, World War Hulk and The Last Fantastic Four Story (with Stan Lee). He has also

co-created titles such as The Gray Area (with Glen Brunswick) and Kick- (with Mark

Millar). Kick- was recently adapted into a major motion picture. Romita returns to the

mainstream Marvel Universe this summer with the relaunched Avengers title, written by

Brian Micharl Bendis.

OLIVIER COIPEL

Olivier Coipel is a French comic book artist. He came to prominence as the artist of

"Legion of Super-Heroes" during the tenure of writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. He

continued to draw the series when it was relaunched under the new title "The Legion".

In January 2005, Coipel signed an exclusive contract with Marvel Comics. He was named in

August 2005 as one of Marvel's "Young Guns," a group of artists that, according to Marvel

Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada, have the qualities that make "a future superstar penciller."

Joe was absolutely right. Coipel would go on to illustrate the House of M crossover as

well as issues of titles such as New Avengers and the one-shot Stan Lee Meets Spider-Man.

Coipel completed an acclaimed run on the relaunched Thor ongoing series with writer J.

Michael Straczynski. He recently completed the mini-series Siege, written by Brian

Michael Bendis, in which the Avengers have been restored to preeminence within the Marvel Universe.

STEVE MCNIVEN

Steve has been penciling comic books for a while now, mostly at home with his cats. His

wife and daughter think he's doing a pretty good job, too. His work can mostly be seen in

the pages of Marvel comics under such titles as Amazing Spider-Man, The New Avengers,

Marvel Civil War, and Wolverine. When he's not working, he loves to attend conventions

such as the one this blurb is attached to, where he gets a chance to talk to fellow comic

fans and buy even more art books that won't fit into his already stuffed studio.

ETHAN VAN SCIVER

Ethan Van Sciver, 35-years-old, is by now a being of pure energy and light. Without Ethan

Van Sciver, we wouldn't have Cyberfrog, Flash: Iron Heights, Green Lantern: Rebirth,

Sinestro Corps., or Flash: Rebirth. And if we did, they wouldn't have half the number of

lines in the drawings. His skin is pale, but soft and yielding to a gentle touch. His

eyes sparkle, with the slightest crease of crow's feet at the corners, clues of acquired

wisdom with age. His hair is as if God's own mare sacrificed a blessed patch of

nourishing hay, sparing only enough to cap and warm his delightfully impish mind. His

newest projects? Whatever they may be, they will fill the shelves of the tasteful and

imaginative comic book fans the world over. He is Ethan Van Sciver. And for the weekend,

he belongs to Toronto.
