Hi All,

I just posted the 1st American Comic book for sale. The Adventures of Mr. Obadiah Oldbuck. Published by Wilson & Co. Sept. 14, 1842. It was published as an Extra No. 9 to Brother Jonathan. There has been controversy in the past as to this being the first comic but if you hold it in your hands and look at it there is no question in my mind this is a comic book. Anyway, I posted my copy for sale at ComicConnect.

The Adventures of Mr. Obadiah Oldbuck 1842

 

There are approximately 16 known copies to exist. That includes all the editions that are in librarys and institutions.
