Your sales thread started 6 months ago. Do you think it's fair to other sellers on the boards to bump your offerings every two days, especially since there have been neither sales nor changes in asking prices since your last bump?

 

 

This is a tad disingenuous.

 

Going back to the end of June's inventory update he posted on:

 

7/5/10 announcing sale of 2 books

7/5/10 posted a scan per request

7/13/10 bumped by a boardie

7/15/10 inventory update

7/15/10 posted notice of more books to come (probably could've done w/o this post but the thread was already bumped that day anyway)

8/19/10 posted notice of more books to come (this one probably wasn't needed 'till books were in hand---of course he hadn't bumped the thread in over a month so....)

9/27/10 posted scan and prices of new offerings

10/2/10 posted inventory with some price reductions, to which Brian admitted he goofed the pricing up and later corrected

10/2/10 posted a scan of another book soon to be for sale (maybe not a necessary post but the thread was already bumped that day anyway and a sale was made that day as well)

10/10/10 posted scan and pricing of new offerings

10/10/10 posted inventory update

10/13/10 posted info on Rangers 29 (this one should have been done via pm's to those inquiring)

10/17/10 posted the Rangers 29 with scan/pricing

10/18/10 forumite bumps with an

10/18/10 posts inventory update with sale pending notations

10/19/10 another boardie posts an

10/23/10 another inventory update with price reductions

10/25/10 another inventory update (I didn't notice any reason for this one as there was an update on 10/23---maybe I missed another sale or something)

 

 

Of course there were other posts made by other members in that time span but they're relevant and not Brian's fault. Maybe there are 3-4 posts we could've done without over the past 3+ months. But as I pointed out above I think it's pretty clear that his thread hasn't been "bumped every 2 days" and indeed there HAVE BEEN sales and price reductions.

I think that since we already have individual feedback threads maybe its time we have individual "CGC forum Store" threads (in an separate forum , of course)

 

BTW I hate the individual feedfack thread format WITH the regular feedback thread locked so its not like I think this idea is gold myself.

 

This thread seems a perfect example of what it would look like if the evicted ebay stores owners found a new home here

I was referring to the most recent bump, which came two days after the prior bump and offered no change in either offerings or price. For a weekend sales thread this is fine with me, but done to a thread running for six months it shafts other sellers by moving their threads down on the forum list. It's spam.

I have thought about closing my thread as my inventory has begun to slowly deplete. I honestly don't have much left other than what is posted above.

 

Since the start of my sales thread, I didn't expect it to have so much attention! While the history of the thread has had its ups and downs in terms of posts, it has been a really fun ride to say the least!

 

I suggest looking at the list again as some of these books listed you may not run across again and are priced to sell. Some are the highest graded copy per the census.
