MC Gaines: How You Can Defend Your Home 1942 DC/AA

While at a dinner one night during the NYC Javits comicon in October some one produced a pic saying this is a very rare DC/AA comic book-type item published back in 1942.

 

I chimed in, "I have one of those though it may take a while to locate it."

 

A couple days ago I came across it in a box of comics research material. It runs 68 pages counting covers. So, was wondering how many here have one of these?

Is this actually a comic book? Are there any comic pages inside?

That's 4 copies. It can be sobering to collectors and dealers who visit this forum thinking they have rare items that will dazzle us. It's truly rare when we HAVEN'T seen something!

I did not get my copy from Harley and I am sure Ian got his copy long

before talking about it. I think it is in Ian's trophy pictures when he completed

his collection.

I don't have a copy but I had Harley's copy in my hand at The Baltimore comic con a few years back and I asked how much and he said $1000 so I kindly placed it back on his wall. I am known for my rare comics but I am also the cheapest guy in comics!

He had it for $900 at SDCC around 2008 or 2009 so you missed out on the fire sale.
