Looks like 7 weeks is the current time - I remember last winter I got a stack of 50 books back in a month.  I got spoiled on those type of turn around times but 7 weeks is not too bad.

I wonder why?  CGC really was fast on my other tiers of books submitted at the same time.  But they are crawling on this tier.  The book is a Marvel Graphic Novel.  Maybe that's why?

I have two moderns I had them press, just as an experiment. At very nearly three calendar months, with the books not even at CGC yet, I can’t say I’m impressed.

It's a 60+ business day turnaround rate.  3 months is just about on the edge of expectation vs taking too long.  I've submitted to CCS a few times, but its usually been books I don't particularly care about getting back in a rush.  Though, to be honest, the extra $6 to FastTrack it seems totally worth it.  It just sucks that if you FT @ CCS, apparently you have to FT @ CGC as well (or so I was told).

Pressing takes time. A lot of time. I've started pressing at home and a typical book (not even special cases like spine issues, folds, tearing) takes at least two or more pressings.

Humidifying takes up to an hour. Pressing takes 15 minutes to an hour of actually heat pressing, then 12-24 of cooling. 24 hours out of the press to see what bends and waves come back then start the process all over.

From what I've been told, the Quick Press service is one press no matter what the results are (and occasionally all the book may need). Regular pressing is as many times through the press as it needs until everything that can be pressed out is done. CCS does a good job. Fast Track it if you are in a hurry.

Not something you'd want to rush if it's a high priced book.

Thanks. When I checked last I thought the listed TAT was 45 days, but I may have been mistaken. They’re collection books, so it takes as long as it takes.

As of this moment, my submission has yet to be received/verified. I hope that the "delay" is not caused by the fact that I had to "manually" deduct my $150.00 credit for my premium membership that expired on September 4, 2018, since it was not automatically deducted by the CGC "submission system." I included a detailed note in the submission clearly stating such.

Of course, I have to be cognizant of the possibility that since I renewed my premium membership on September 4, 2018, expiring Sep., 4, 2019, that CGC accounting "ignores" my Sep., 4, 2018, membership $150.00 credit and uses my Sep., 4, 2019, membership $150.00 credit. If that occurs, based on past experience, it will likely take me at least a month of telephone conversations and emails to have CGC correct the mistake.
