Mine was March 1st....  I guess my comics are going to spend the summer with them (at this rate).

Very true. When I submitted back in October the turnaround time was 63 days. I assumed I can beat the early spring quick press crowd by getting my books pressed during the winter. This worked out well for me the previous tear where it only took 7 weeks for pressing. In hindsight I should've just picked the quick press option.

Why if I press with ccs I do fast track...wish you could do ccs fast track and grade slow track...

Wow!  I can't comment on that, I did a quick press on the my first batch and it didn't take that long (I wonder if they did anything at all but still charged me :P)

I loathe the new statuses.  They’re pure trash. Sat in scheduled for grading for days.  Now sitting in grading / QC for days.  No idea if they’ve actually been graded.  If they are in quality control.  Or any relative idea of when will be done.

Sent in 3 books, Modern Tier & Regular Pressing, with no Fast Track.

Received 12/26/2018

No Update since then. 

Basically from what I'm seeing from other Posts is that its going to be at CCS for another 2 months before CGC gets them back.

Is this a correct assumption?

 

Update: Funny that I posted this. So around the same time  I made this post. I received an Email with the invoice from CCS and my bank account was billed. Coincidence?

I contacted CGC again today regarding the status of my books and they'll contact CCS directly to give me an update. As I mentioned above, either the 80 business day turnaround time is slightly off (since my books are sitting at 103 business days now), or there was a specific issue with my submission. Hopefully I'll find out early next week.:wishluck:

Was this a straight modern grade, no crossover services with CCS?  I have a batch of slow moderns received on Feb. 8th, still showing as received which is now putting it close to the current 28 business day schedule.

Yes slow track only. Had them pressed before sending in...yours aren't even SFG?

Nope I've emailed CGC again since the guy I spoke with on the phone could not give me clear details.  They were received on Feb. 8th and I was charged on Feb. 22nd but the status still shows as 'received'.  When were you charged for grading, was it around the received date or closer to the graded date?

My modern slow track that was verified on 2/20 went to graded/qc today. And they always charge your CC when they verify them (unless they are pre-screened). I know that now that step has been done away with and it just goes straight to scheduled for grading but your submission is from when they still had the verified/scheduled for grading distinction. If they charged you on the 22nd, that means that even though they were received on the 8th, they didn't process them until the 22nd. My guess is they will go to graded/qc in the next 2 days. The problem is why they sat so long between being received and verified.

Right, that's the question, why do some books get stuck at different steps in the process?  I was hoping to have these back at the end of the month, even if they were verified on the 22nd, that's a full month that's passed where it's been 'scheduled for grading'.

CGC did get back to me today and indicated that the books were pressed and received by CGC for grading sometime in February.  The only issue was that there was a glitch in the system that didn't provide this information on my home page. Hopefully, the books are only a few weeks away from being graded.
