Let's wait four weeks and take a look at that again...

Maybe, but this is a push re: the next movie and introducing Nubia, WW's black sister, an obscure character that only appeared a few times (which, frankly, I fond odd that DC has used her so little over the last 44 years)

Yeah, but movie or TV or Netflix or whatever.

I checked my inventory list and I paid $2 a few years ago for the 9.0 I may or may not still have. Makes sense that it's a $500 book now. doh!

...but what else is new. The comic market waved bye bye to reality a long time ago.

Yes, this was a $2-3 box book in decent shape not that long ago.  I know I have it, but where??

The cover to 206 is like 60000% better and WW covers are what often sell WW issues

But yeah, that 204 has been a sleeper, I had no idea what it was.

199, 200 & 205 too...

199 and 200, the jeff (what's her name now?) jones cover, have commanded a premium for a while.  199 actually seems to be going for a little less than when i sold my copy i think.

It was Catherine. She passed away in 2011.

I don't think that's Adams

DC wiki says he did the cover, but along with curt swan and some other guy, so maybe swan messed it up.  i agree, it isn't as skilled as most adams covers of the era, but its a great image

Robbins art at the time I thought looked dated.

Yup.  Robbins, like Lee Elias, had a heavily Caniff-influenced style, which Caniff had been using since the late 1930s, so not surprising that it was starting to look dated by then.

DC wiki can't be wrong. maybe adams erased a line on there or something or his stuff was horribly inked over or he tried to fix swan's terrible pencils when he inked them

Sure it can. Do you want me to change it to JSC?

I don't want to drag the thread too far off topic, but I don't see any Adams in that cover at all.

Wikepedia is the ultimate source for all knowledge, so DC WIki can't be far off.

Him doing the inks isn't going to Adams-ize it necessarily, although it seems like her improved the typical Swan horror a bit
