For Sale: 4400+ Vintage Comics 1849-1980: MEDICAL EMERGENCY

 

Hello fellow collector, many of you know me, Robert Beerbohm. Been collecting, dealing, research comics and related material for more than four decades. Have been honored to be fronting the origins of the American comic book articles in Overstreet every eyar since first invited back in Oct 1996. I have not been here in CGC land in a while, been busy with medical scenarios, other assorted healing, rebuilding a life.

Many of you have met my oldest daughter Katy at various shows around the country since she was two years old. A wonderful individual and a friend to many in the comics world, she is now 33, has undergone two open skull craniotomy surgeries which were dealt with by superior surgeons and was healing very nicely.

 

In October of last year one of her spinal taps from surgery prep evidently sprung a leak allowing toxic (to the rest of the body) spinal fluid to enter her body. Doctors were going about their business to deal with that when a few days before Christmas in very adverse reaction to prescribed medications she developed something called Stevens Johnson Syndrome.

She was hospitalized in the local hosptial ICU until a few days ago. She is now home and the healing process is going to take months, if not years, to complete.
