I think that copy used to be a 6.0 moderate restored copy.

I believe this because I was there in person when the deal happened and the buyer was giving the book to IGB to restore to a very high grade. IGB could have two of course but the resto is very similar... just much more

Their Tec 33 9.4 (the one that started it all) started out as a 6.0 MP so that sounds about right.

Wow, Superman 1 CGC 1.0 at $74K with 24 days left and a CGC NG up for sale as well in a current Comicconnect auction. The CGC NG is only at $7400, but should be interesting to see where it finishes. I imagine the CGC 1.0 is definitely going to break $100K and the CGC NG will finish around $20K.

Yes I can see it reaching 100 000$ or more. Nice looking CGC 1.0.

When a 1.0 blue label is selling for 100k+, the restored books seem to me to be a (relative) value.

I am by no means an objective observer. But there are only so many Supes 1's to go around, especially at 100k and under... Extensive resto or Brittle pages or w/e may be the only option to acquire this mega key for under $100k...
