Low to mid-grade with some surprises...if you followed the Marvel thread, you know a FN/VF or higher will pop up here and there.

 

Oldest will be Supes 44 missing centerfold (2nd story incomplete) 1947.

 

Oldest Bats will be #96 1955 GD/VG.

 

1st Poison Ivy in the box as well, GD-. SOLD

 

Military including pre-code Star Spangled, early Easy Co, early Haunted Tank.

 

Action, Detective, Superman/Flash 1st & 2nd race, GL 2, Sea Devils 2, 1st New Teen Titans etc...

Batman #96 GD/VG

Great cover, presents extremely well, but odor will make your eyes bleed. Micro chamber paper has helped. There's always something! Just keep it framed in the mylar bag :) As per questions answered, in thread, book has acidic odor, but is supple throughout, not brittle.

What does the Bat 96 smell like?

 

Standard acid odor from close encounter with too much moisture somewhere in its ancient past. The micro chamber paper seems to have stabilized it.

 

Is it brittle at all?

 

Surprisingly, not at all...the scans are good enough you can see the places along the edges of the cover with some wave to it from whenever it was damp, but the book is supple.
