Yeah, I am supposed to pay my mortgage too! I can't

wait until January -- my bank will offer me the new

lower monthly mortgage payment without paying the

closing fee! Save about $300 a month. Maybe, I can

buy more comic books but it is important to pay the

mortgage so my wife and kids are happy to live under

the roof.

Member Journal Entry: So, where's the Baxter Building?

By: itonarely

It was a beautiful hobby (and still can be I guess) and

for this young boy growing up in New York it was all

about the stories and the wonderful artwork that

accompanied them. It was about adventure and wonder....

and, even at fifty-one (tomorrow), it still is...

See you soon.

I'm sure all of us collectors here have a similar story

to yours. I came into the love and adventure of comics in

'85/'86, when I was 12 years old. For me it was Indiana

Jones, New Mutants and Booster Gold that started me off,

but the results were very much like yours.

> I did.

Welcome to the journal writing club! Your thoughts and

experiences are always welcome, as are everybody's!!!

Great to read a journal from a fellow Queens boy!.. and

I hope to read many more! I grew up buying comics in

Jamaica, Briarwood, Kew Gardens and Forest Hills. I

bought comics here and there from 74 - 78, but didn't

take collecting seriously until 1979, when I was ten.

I am going to wish you an early Happy Birthday! I hope

you have your comic book wishes come true!

Welcome aboard!!

I may be one of those Marvel Guys referred to by SW3D,

but that doesn't mean I don't like DC stuff.

I'm just far more partial to The Marvel Universe

storylines than the DC ones. But it really doesn't

matter what your interests are, as long as you are

collecting and enjoying what you are into.

And we here on the registry love it when people get on

the journals and talk incessantly about their interests

and their collections and acquisitions.

As TNerb said, it would be great to see some of your

issues on the journals and get an idea of what you've

submitted so far to CGC.

Again, welcome to Club Addiction and may your comics

always come back better than you expect!!!

But seriously, the Journals and it's community

welcome all sorts of collectors bringing their

wealth of knowledge and passions to share. We

love to know what you collect, why you collect,

what your collecting goals and ambitions are,

and especially love to read things about how

collecting is the make-up of your soul as it

is for all of us (that's a constant reassurance

we're not the only one's doing this).
