Hi All,

Just a reminder that the Original Art segment of the ComicLink Featured Auction closes TODAY Thursday, December 5th starting at 8 PM ET.

There is a very broad selection of strong pieces within the auction. Though there are over 500 original art items, every single lot was still hand-selected to meet the quality standards of the ComicLink Featured Auction. Each and every lot is worthwhile to consider, as you will see when you browse the entire Original Art session. Prime Steve Ditko Spider-Man pieces and numerous, exceptional Jack Kirby works join a multitude of treasures created by artists ranging from Hal Foster to Jim Lee!

Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby artwork headlines this auction. Three exceptional Ditko Amazing Spider-Man artworks include two consecutive, classic pages from Steve Ditko’s Amazing Spider-Man #32 and one of the very best pages from Steve Ditko’s Amazing Spider-Man #30. Many exceptional Jack Kirby pages grace this auction. Items include a rare and enormous Jack Kirby pencil illustration of Conan; a complete 13 page Jack Kirby Pre-Hero story from Tales of Suspense #22 that is both a Hulk and Thing prototype story; a dynamic Kirby Incredible Hulk #3 battle page; a Thing versus Dr. Doom battle page from Fantastic Four #40, the title splash to Journey into Mystery #109 featuring Thor’s banishment from Asgard by Odin (the first time Thor appears with a full sized figure of Odin on a splash page), a climactic Captain America #101 page featuring Cap defeating the Red Skull, an exceptional half splash from the Silver Surfer Graphic Novel (Surfer soaring on his board), and a really good Fin Fang Foom page from Strange Tales #89 --- just to name a few!

The highlights don’t stop with Ditko and Kirby - not by a long shot! Some other top highlights within this auction are: John Romita’s Amazing Spider-Man #166 cover art featuring Spidey taking on the Lizard and an explosive Amazing Spider-Man #75 half-splash featuring an iconic Spidey pose; Jim Lee’s work is prominently featured within this auction, including his Fantastic Four #3 cover featuring Captain America, the Thing, Sub-Mariner, and Thor, and three impressive artworks from the Batman “Hush” storyline -- two featuring Batman vs. Hush and a memorable “Death of Jason Todd” splash page image rendered in ink wash. With artworks rendered Hal Foster to those by Michael Turner, there is a wide range of material in this auction to excite every generation of original comic art collector!
