Amazing Spider-Man #361 - Printing Defect? 1 1

Thoughts about the tiny tear at the bottom edge on Carnage's knee? I've seen this on several copies of this issue in 9.6 or higher.

 

 

 

Compare against this CGC 9.8 on ebay right now and which appears to have the same "defect" possibly.

Common on that issue. I have seen much worse-vertical production tears that go the entire length of the bottom front cover every 1 1/2 inch or so.

They are "printer's grabber tears" (I don’t know the exact term in english for them). A production related defect, and yours is not bad at all, so it won’t affect the grade. Maybe if it’s a 9.8+, but I think it’s not taken into account…

Di you end up submitting the book? Did you get a 9.8 ?

I have the same problem in all my copies but want to risk submitting to CGC.

Did anyone ever figure this out I have two copies one with the small printer grab hole on the front and one without but the inside pages bottom edge have little vertical cuts. Does anyone know what that is and how it affects grade?
