Found a couple not high grade, but I figured I would never see another copy so I snagged them.

Nice! I’ve seen a few of the Animaniacs #2 but the LT #8 is one I haven’t found yet. Great pickup.

This is a great site.  Thanks for compiling this.  I've been an avid collector of the DCUs for years.  It looks like I have a few new ones to add to the list:

Aquaman 4

4-2.jpg.e1c26c7656197857a1e1e091bc568129.jpg

Superman: The Man of Steel 50

50-2.jpg.5d9bff7cc80bf01803e3c3663dae9448.jpg

And Flash #94 "stickered" (for the secondary list, maybe not the master list)

5a6aa35ea2a9c_Scan_20170407-Copy.jpg.0d7b26c75750b15d3db0ebbf439fa146.jpg

The Flash 94 is hard to see from this picture, but you may be able to tell that the DCU logo is not in the box.  On the comic itself, I can clearly see a barcode behind the sticker (too hard to see if it's the direct or newsstand code).

Now, I have a question about the master list.  Where did that come from?  Specifically, was there photographic evidence of comics before they got added?  A post a few days ago asked about Batman Adventures 18.  As that post indicated, there is a bat symbol edition.  I've never seen a DCU edition, though.  With #17, there is a DCU edition but I've never seen a bat symbol edition.  I think each of #14 - 30 has a bat symbol edition or a DCU edition -- but I've not seen one with both.  So with 18, there is definitely the direct market, the newsstand and the bat symbol editions.  A DCU edition would make a fourth version.

Likewise, I question Animaniacs 16.  There is an edition that was in a 2-pack.  The "flipside" was a DCU (Pinky & the Brain 1 DCU I think -- but I could be wrong on that).  But the Animaniacs 16 had the Warner Brothers "READING" logo.  So if there is a DCU of Animaniacs 16, then there are four different editions -- the direct market, the newsstand, the WB logo and the DCU.  Like with the Batman Adventures 18, I've only seen evidence of one "special" edition -- not both.

Lastly, I question Adventures of Superman 530.  Between this master list and the ones I have, there are about 525 reported DCUs.  I spent time looking at the cover dates.  Right now, AoS 530 is the only DCU listed with a December 1995 cover date.  That seems suspicious.  Of course, I say that but there is also October 1994 where there is only 1 (Damage 0).  The others that month were the Zero Hour editions.  So it's very possible that there is an AoS 530 that was the lone 12/95 cover date book in some random 2-pack.  But I think it's also possible that, for whatever reason, DC skipped that month.

So, as a quick summary, the list is missing is Aquaman 4 and Superman: MoS 50.  And, it seems that the stickered editions were being compiled as a secondary list, so there's also Flash 94.

And, I'm really skeptical about Batman Adventures 18, Animanics 16 and AoS 530 and would love to know how/why those were thought to exist.

Welcome @LittleRandRComics, that was quite an entrance! I’m always excited to see new DCUs for the list.

As for the Animaniacs two pack that you reference with Pinky and the Brain, it is #15 in that two pack (I have a sealed one) and it is a DCU. I’m not aware of a #16 DCU either, and I’ve got all the known DCUs in that title.

Welcome to the boards.  I will leave it to Revat to explain how he compiled to the list, but I can address AoS 530.

Jerome Wenker (who had been collecting DC variants for years and seemed to have more than anyone) had put AoS 530 on his list but he never had a copy.    In general, his list was very accurate but since no one had ever seen an AoS 530 DCU, we listed it as questionable.    There were a few others like AoS 530 that he didn't have but claimed existed and they eventually showed up (like Superman 117 and Action 706).   But there are others like AoS 530 and SM MOS 49 that have never been found.   That is a great observation on your part that no DCU's have ever been found with cover date of Dec 1995.   I would agree with that statement.   So that makes AoS 530 DCU even more "questionable" in my opinion.

Thanks for the correction.  I'm pretty sure the copy I have was from a 2-pack that I bought new at our local toy store in the early 90s but then (gasp) opened it because who would ever want a *sealed* pack?  Ahhh, to be young and uninformed again...

Initially, the list came from a compilation of a few people and online sites, as well as my own experiences and searches.  Its tough to remember now, but Jerome was either the biggest or second biggest contributor to the original list.  So if there are some that HE believes exist (but are questionable), there's a pretty good chance they're still on the list.  I can't remember now, do 'stickered' DCU's generally go on the list?  I think I lean towards 'no', but I can't remember what the precedent was.  I'd prefer to be consistent.

I'm unaware of any stickered books that don't also exist as printed DCUs, so I don't think we have broken them out. Anything stickered is thus on the list already by default.

I'd also question whether they are even consistently done, or are instead one-off anomalies that were made on a case by case basis when needed to fill out multipacks. I would lean towards the latter, and thus for me they are nifty curiosities rather than a true subset of DCUs.

I can go along with that.   There's only a handful of stickered ones, and so far each stickered DCU has a non-stickered DCU counterpart.

Yes, I was there to help Revat develop the list in the beginning, and Revat's initial list was based largely on Jerome's list.   I only added a few to Jerome's list that he wasn't aware of, and then others came along and added a few more.
