What is your Modern Comic Grail? 2 2

Nothing too special here, but in my collection right now, that's the one! I've been a fan of that book for a while and needed a copy (bought it last year)...

Do you guys buy 2nd prints of your grails as a place holder? I know Strangers in Paradise 2nd and 3rd print had the same print run as the 1st print(3000), so they are just as rare with the same cover. For Bone I think any print other than number 1 isn't very desirable.

 

I know for silver grails I went with the golden record 2nd prints and they have been really hot over the past 2 years.. HIgh grade raw books without the records could be found for under $100 in 2013, now VG's are going for more than that.

 

If SiP ever gets popular again, I don't see those 9000 copies across 3 printings staying cheap.

10 years ago my Modern Grail was Ultimate Spider-Man #1 white variant CGC SS 9.8 (SS by Stan Lee)

 

Today I was quite surprise how far the book drop in price..... 10 yrs ago it was a book well above the $1000 mark... Now I'm seeing on eBay its dropped 20% and it's still dropping...I keep wondering why....

 

 

Now, I have WD#1 CGC SS as my Grail

That's a cool book and very unusual to see in blue!!! Most all got qualified grades for the hand written limited edition numbering.
