They need to remove Greenville, it will be an economic and cultural disaster.

Cultural too? Now I actually want to go see what the hype is about.

That's because the city of Cleveland closes at like 5:00 on Sunday nights and 9:00 on Saturday nights. There's absolutely nothing to do except go to the Red Door... errrr... I probably shouldn't have said that.

The bowling alleys are open late - what more do you need?

Beer & strippers? And...well... pretty much anything except for a bowling alley. Maybe if I was 14 or 75...

Ageism. :sumo:

Andrew look where the good Doktor is posting from!! No wonder he doesnt like Cleveland haha!!

I think the success of the Cleveland show just shows how passionate we NE Ohio'ers are for our interests...Blue collar town all the way...The place was pretty packed...Could you imagine how Rockin' the place would have been if it wasnt -10 degrees with the wind chill!!

BTW Michael Vick

All in good fun Dok :foryou:

Cleveland Show again please....

Cleveland seems to have been their best success on this year of expansion. Other than this show, and maybe Madison, I don't think they had any other real success stories at new shows.

I personally thought the 2015 Madison show was kinda meh for buying (spent less than 100) & halfway expected to look at the list & see TBA. However, it was in February, in Wisconsin, and Milwaukee had Fantasticon & the decidedly-not-Awesome Con (cancelled) to compete with. Those cons are not back for 2016. And I did get the chance to do a panel on underground comix. April may well be a better move. I'm in for WW Madison!

Nah, I hate Cleveland because I went to college at John Carroll & lived there for a number of years. Maybe it was just when I lived there, but the city was totally dead.

Yeah I guess with 3 little kids the night life scene isn't really what I'm all about anymore so I can see what you are sayin there. I went to BGSU and had an AWESOME time. Total college town there!!! I'm not from Cleveland originally, moved here to work at Cleveland Clinic plus my wife was from here. Just built a house in Avon and have never been happier!! We did just open a Casino down here, the Flats are on the rise, and W 6th Always seems to be Rockin at night on the weekends if that's your thing. I'm more of a hole in the wall dive bar kind of guy if I am going which isn't frequently at all. I guess if I'm going out to me it's more about the company so if you put me with some good friends or my family we will make anyplace a good time. I like that people here are friendly. There's just enough to do. Cities not too big that traffic is insane but big enough to house all the major sports teams ( not that we are that good in a majority ) but that's another great example in itself. The Brownies have SUCKED every year since they came back sans a year and have Never put out a Great team but these fans and their passion still pack that house every Sunday religiously regardless!!
