How do you protect your CGC graded comics?

Just as the subject asks, how do you protect your CGC graded comics?

I use Mylar and corrugated pads too -- only I call them Mylite2s and Fullbacks.

I replace the CGC label with a PGX so that no one will want to steal them!

The slab IS the protection. I just keep them away from light and keep a constant temperature in the room.

Minor scratches on the case don't bother me.

HOTFLIPS makes a reeeeally nice plastic bag for slabs, I use one on each slab and that saves them from minor wear and scratches while I'm moving them or handling them.

 

There are a couple companies out there, HOTFLIPS included, that make nice shortboxes sized for slabs.

 

Those two items keep them pretty nice without spending a fortune.

I crack them out of that plastic case, bag and board them, put them in top loaders, and into short boxes

i use the arklites because they fit the case perfect and you will never need another bag. for the thicker slabs i use the mylite 2s.

I'm sure most would prefer a mint slab but at the end of the day it's the condition of the comic that matters.

I use M2 914's to wrap the slab. Crystal clear, protects the slab from scratches and dust and mildew etc (I live in the subtropics).

 

Then I store them in a dark cabinet, staples down.

I use typical boxes for my less "precious" books, but most of my CGC graded books are treated to archival Century boxes.
