I got this one in the most recent ComicConnect auction, too. Really nice colors as well. It is the Big Apple copy.

One of my favorite things about this forum is seeing a book posted that I never really noticed before. I have seen this many times while flipping through the Gerbers but it never stood out to me. Seeing this photo makes me really appreciate what a great cover it is. (thumbs u

That Jumbo 30 is a gorgeous book. Zolnerowitz is a fave cover artist of mine and he performs at his best drawing jungle scene as this one (or on the cover of Rangers). I'd love to own a copy of this book ... but Zolne is not the best at drawing wildlife. I do not particularly like the way the lion is depicted on this cover. Sheena, on the other hand :luhv:

I have always agreed that the lion is way out of proportion on this particular cover also. Reminds me of Funny Pages #41 a little. On the other hand, the depiction of Sheena is awesome with the water spilling out onto the ground, and makes up for the Lion's over-exaggerated head. :cloud9:
