I want the rest of the story now
. I know it. It looks like an old school what if.

I believe it is. I do remember this story long ago. Little bit like Marvel's what if series. DC did that stories with Superman and Batman in their series. I should read that one again.

Those Curt Swan world's finest are some of the best comics ever produced. Sadly they are not worth squat. The Swan run was from 141-172.

Early to mid-60s WF are fun to read. The difficulty of coming up with reasons to pair the God-like Superman with Batman whose only real power is super-detecting, forced the writers to come up with some ridiculous situations. Goofball SA DC that competes with LL and JO for entertainment value.

Exactly. The clever goofy writing they had to come up with makes for great reading. Considering the fact that the cover was drawn first, then a story created to go with the cover is amazing. In WF 160 they created an elaborate scheme to capture....a carny psychic. Really? Superman and Batman spent about a week with an elaborate scheme to trap a CARNY??????

Swan pages from this era seem to sell for $12,000. A meme page like that-man it could go pretty high.

Another good issue was the one where Superman claimed he was a better detective than Batman. They wiped out each other's memories then had to discover each other secret identity. Batman quickly did so but Superman kept failing. He started to lose his mess so Batman let him discover his ID and explained to Robin he's losing his mess man.
