As an introduction, there was a time when the comics industry was a young medium, full of sales surprises and with an extremely deep market penetration among certain demographics. In an effort to exploit the many possibilities this medium offered many different companies, programs, and institutions printed up comics for propaganda or advertising and gave them away for free. Comics were a form of social media of the time, raising awareness and offering up misinformation in equal measure. For years our hobby has ignored or marginalized the historical importance of many of these giveaway comics. I don't know if that will change with this sales thread. But I hope you all will see something new, learn something different, and be compelled to spend some money, enriching Bedrock City and furthering the cause of Comic Book Capitalism. At one point a snake oil selling union leader is compared to Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini. There is a one inch split at the top of the spine and the comic was manufactured without staples. Learn the difference btween Mr. Policeman and Mr. Stranger-Danger! There is a scuff on the front cover which created two small tears on Sheriff Ogilvie's pant leg, otherwise a very nice copy. A subscription-like crease keeps this from being higher grade, probably folded in the back pocket of some track regular. It is possible that this comic brought the holder such luck that he hit a string of exactas, won the lottery, and met his future wife and two mistresses.
