That's a fantastic Jason Momoa/Aquaman cover :golfclap:

Quite the interesting topic and one I've often thought about myself hm

I do like photo covers and try and ones to my collection with the idea of adding a signature from the celebrity in the future. Having said that, I do commission blanks specifically to have something a little more personal  and also due to the potential of purchasing a celebrity signed photo cover down the line.

Here are some of my past commissions from artist John Watson that I'd like to have signed when a signing opportunity arises and funds are available.

I'll hopefully get Hayley Atwell to sign at the Heroes and Villians show here in London next month (maybe some of the Arrow cast) and do plan on having other commissions of the Shield cast and other bits for the London Film and Comic Con in July. I missed out on Kevlar's Gadot signing and not sure if the Robbie one went ahead. Both Stan Lee sigs cover both sketch and photo covers.

I'm looking forward to CGC finishing the grading on the BTTF cover thanks to the efforts of Kevlar and dscott and I know John Watson really enjoys the idea of his art being witnessed  by said celebrity and is looking forward to seeing the final result just as much as I am. He was pretty happy knowing that Mark Hamill saw his work and personalised one for his son in a recent opp.

There is a Grant Gustin sig opp coming up you can try to get in on....ask/beg Doug

For me, photo cover is definitely the way to go.

.....that's only if a photo cover exists for that particular celebrity. If a photo cover does not exist then original art would be an option

If you have the $ and patience then go with an original sketch otherwise a photo cover is the next best thing.

I prefer the 8x10 photo, cheaper and still slabbed.

I'd say do it on the sketch cover......but if you already have a Gadot sig on the connecting photo cover, then Cavil photo it is!

Totally your preference.  This only becomes a question if you are planning to sell it.  Most would chose the photo cover for resale purposes unless the art was done by someone of comic fame/lore.  For example my Ash Gonzales covers are damn near perfect, in my opinion, but he is not a well known artist and thus the value on the open market is questionable.  Again, I am not collecting to resale...I chose Ash because he does excellent work, is local, and is not terribly expensive.   I have both photo covers and OA in my collection and sometimes both for the same character.  Its all what you prefer.

Do you have John Watson's contact information? I'd be interested iin a potential commission from him.
