eye magazine was published over about a year in '68-'69; one of the issues, dealing with zeffirelli's romeo and Juliet, actually came with an asm 42 miniature in horizontal layout.  here it is, a silver age spidey appearance!  it's a 2-staple book, and top one is popped.  you also see the tear at top spine.  pages are o/w.

how 'bout $50, shipped? now $40!  i'll ship on me usa, you if not.  p.p. fine.  i'll take a return, but i'll be mad at you.  i'll take it on thread trumps p.m.'s, but i'll listen to a counter.

This mini-comic was also published with Esquire magazine in 1969. There was an article on Marvel Comics and the ever-mediagenic Stan Lee in Esquire that month, (as well as Esquire's 1966 article on how "hip" and "cool" comics had become).

Thanks for showing the original cover and the mini-comic cover together. I have both, and had never put them together to realize they featured a different subject angle!

In the 800 years I spent training Jedi, I never saw this comic attached to a copy of Esquire Magazine, only Eye. I had two at one point (now both sold - pictures below) and the common consensus among Spidey promo completist nutcases was that the Esquire copy was a red herring, probably started by Overstreet who, the last time I looked, was still claiming it's existence.

If I ever see a picture of this promo legitimately attached to an Esquire, I will shed my load.

GLTWS!

I remembered having that Eye magazine, so I dug it out.

I have no Spidey comic in mine! There's a neat bit about Undergrounds to go with the Marvel, but I never knew I was missing a Mini comic.

then buy it and marry the two, goofball!!

p.s.  note, your cover has an arrow pointing toward the now-on-the-loose minifunnybook!

There is one in the present Comic Link auction, a census high 6.5, out of 11 copies.  Currently at $413!
