DETECTIVE COMICS #39 in CGC .5, Incomplete/Brittle Pages. From May 1940 comes this early Tec classic. I have always loved this crazy cover with Batman knocking a thug right off a building -- happy landings! -- and the 2nd appearance ever of Robin. Label comments: 1st page through 6th page missing, affects story. Moderate tape on cover. Minor amount of color touch on cover. INCOMPLETE. Brittle pages.  Whew! The label tells the story, lots of serious flaws... but nevertheless here's a rare chance at a filler Tec #39 that's under $1K and isn't coverless or completely trashed. The cover colors look great and it presents beautifully for the low grade.
