Johnson is easily recognizable. Lou Fine is also but with so many imitating him, sometimes you can be fooled by others aping Fine (Sultan, Crandall, Gufstavsson, ...) The E.C. crew, through our familiarity, have distinct styles to our eyes but others are also easy to spot: Henri Kiefer, Dan DeCarlo, Kubert typically, Heath, Kinstler, Powell, Frazetta, Ravielli, Sale, Severin and Elias (there were many Canniff imitator but Elias is pretty distinctive among the imitators). There are many others tucked in obscurity as well that are easy to spot: Marcoux (SuperSnipe), Calpini (Starry Eyes), Art Helfant, Sven Elven, Fred Guardineer is pretty distinctive too, ... But there were many imitators, some because they were simply inspired by Fine's spectacular work, others because their editors told them to. But of course imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and all that. In this context, I would rate Fine and Kirby as having been most flattered.
