Bosco685
The Big Screen Adaptation Of Mark Millar's NEMESIS May Finally Be Moving Forward Quote The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that, after 24 years at Warner Bros., Sue Kroll is stepping down and launching her own production company. It's a bold move but Kroll & Co. Entertainment is already lining up some big projects and the trade notes that Nemesis is among them. Ridley Scott and Jules Daly are also attached as producers but after almost four years of no movement, should we be excited? It's hard to say for sure, especially as we don't know if Joe Carnahan's -script is still going to be used and if he has any interest in directing. There's also no word on casting and with no word on when production might start, we could still be years away from seeing Mark Miller and Steve McNiven's comic book series become a reality. It is, however, good to know it's on the cards (the comic book sequel also never became a reality for reasons which sadly still aren't entirely clear as of right now). Bosco685
Quote A Nemesis movie based on Mark Millar’s comic book taps Project Power directors. The 2010 comic book written by Millar tells the story of Nemesis (who has an alter ego of Matt Anderson), who uses his wealth for villainous purposes and is out for revenge against the cops who imprisoned his parents. The rather dark, Batman meets Joker style comic has long been touted for a big-screen adaptation. The film at one time had the late Tony Scott attached to direct, and then later, The Grey’s Joe Carnahan was on board to write and direct, with Millar showering Carnahan’s -script with praise. In 2018, producer Sue Kroll, alongside Jules Daly and Ridley Scott, was reportedly set to produce a Nemesis film. However, two years later, it looks like the project is finally moving forward (again). Collider reported that Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the directors of the Netflix superhero film Project Power, have been signed by Warner Bros. to direct Nemesis, with Emerald Fennell writing the -script and Kroll and Daly still producing. This version of Nemesis will follow a tech inventor who is framed for his wife’s murder, and he then teams up with the vigilante Nemesis “to take down the corrupt system.” It’s quite a different, and perhaps more tamed version of Nemesis, which Millar himself acknowledged in a tweet, writing: “Weirdly, this is my Nemesis book.”
