BITCOINSWAMI 158 posts Posted January 4 I was told if the cover says the word UK anywhere this is the non US edition and less valuable but I saw this on eBay and this guy is selling for over $1500 https://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-AMAZING-SPIDER-MAN-361-362-363-CGC-9-8-L-K-IT-CARNMYIG/112485640181?hash=item1a30aaa7f5:g:RPEAAOSwnTxZbTzH:rk:3:pf:0 Is there variants of this or this is the original 1st print and there is no UK or USA version? Sometimes on eBay I see issue #361 with no UK 70p I just want to make sure I am buying the correct edition and not get screwed over. I am not looking for a slab just a TB that is the original. Is there anyway to tell 2nd prints from just looking at the cover?

Newsstand editions don't have the UK price, but they are also legitimate 1st prints; they were just distributed differently. There is also an Australian version. https://www.comics.org/issue/1094005/cover/4/

The UK in the price box does not make the book a pence copy, as for UK pence copies being less valuable that should be reversed in the future, they are really the rarest of rare variants! I do not think there is a true pence copy for this issue, most are earlier dates. A lot of people are jumping on the newsstand variants and some are very rare depends on the distribution time periods. These boards are full of facts on both of these topics. I think this all may be over the OP's head, based on his posts so far. Simple answer for the OP is to read what @GeeksAreMyPeeps posted. Also as a note to the OP, a "thank you" or "thanks" would be nice.

BITCOINSWAMI 158 posts Posted January 4 Thanks guys I just won a auction for The Amazing Spider-Man#362 did I get ripped off or is this a fair price for $19.10 cents for and is this the first print? https://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Amazing-Spider-Man-362-near-perfect-copy-NM-2nd-appearance-of-carnage-/183603726728?nma=true&si=H%2BkE7FIVBIn98GoZtDavqxpSWDM%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

You paid what you were willing to. 3 Mecha_Fantastic, Juno Beach and jsilverjanet reacted to this

I think you might have gotten it a little cheaper because the big scan looks like it has water damage or something, but if you look at other scans that was likely just light reflecting, so if someone just quickly looked they may have passed. Here is a newsstand, no UK price, perhaps a little harder to find (a little) and maybe a little more expensive:
