And....we're back...

Here's a nice book that everyone seems to want for their collection.

Batman: The Killing Joke

1st Print

CGC 9.6 White

Signed by Brian Bolland

Brian's recently announced his retirement from comic work, and I haven't seen him at a show in the US for about 5 years (maybe longer).

Interesting sales history on this book in this grade. There were three REALLY misguidedly low BINs on eBay in the last six months that were snapped up immediately. Subtracting out seller incompetence and savvy buyer's snatching up under-priced goodies, the average of the last 5 actual sales is over $300.

Still, I will price this one well below the 12 month average of $272....

My price  $240

Here's one Harley Quinn early appearance that's still REALLY under the radar.

It's her 3rd ever appearance after Batman Adventures 12 and Mad Love.

Batman Adventures Annual #1

September 1994

9.6 CGC White

Signed by her creators Bruce Timm and Paul Dini

Going for a small sliver of those earlier appearances....

The perfect storm of great characters, great creator, in his prime, creating a story that endures through the decades.

GPA on a 9.4 with no signatures is around $260 and there are well over $120 worth of signatures on this book.

Offered well below that cost:

$350 (and remember that includes shipping in the USA)

Here's an important book.

Important in Frank Miller's career, important to comics fans who know their history, important to all creator owned properties showing that their ideas, done right, can lead to great success beyond the printed picture on paper. An entire movie franchise can be traced back to this one issue. Even in today's oversaturated media marketplace, that means something.

Dark Horse Presents Fifth Anniversary Special (1991)

1st Appearance of Sin City

1st Appearance of Marv

CGC SS 9.8 White

Signed by Frank Miller

&

Signed by Klaus Janson (who had his own 8 page story included in this issue that he both penciled and inked entitled "Placebo")

$475... and even at that I am having second thoughts about selling it....
