Another favorite cover of mine...a little rough but it's been with me for many years.

When I used to scrounge the flea markets in high school for old comics I was always on the hunt for some Captain Marvel books. I found a few of them over the years for a few bucks but they were all well read and pretty beat up. While not in great shape I sure did enjoy looking at the covers and reading some of the classic tales inside. Here's the pile that I've kept all these years; as I recall it was either the erasure cover or the Mr.Tawney cover that was the first issue I ever picked up from the original series.  The covers still really hold up; the insides not so much.
