Terry Austin does excellent pencils on his own, but mainly the occasional cover. I would guess he just figured 22 pages of pencils is not something he could make a deadline on? I assume pencils pay way better than inking?

Anyway, it's nice Sinnott had this gig for the last few decades. I assume it didn't pay much, but if the guy still had it in him to do a strip a day, why not? Probably helped pay his medigap insurance or whatever. And stan lee had been writing it up until its death? 42 years of that strip!
