Blanche Neige (Snow White) prelim, by Meddour.  I honestly had no clue who Fabrice Maddour was -- the folks at Galerie Napoleon in Paris were so kind that I felt compelled to pick up something that caught my eye.  His wiki entry in French: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabrice_Meddour.

The art is from a gritty and bloody, oft-erotic retelling of Snow White: https://www.bedetheque.com/BD-A-l-Origine-des-Contes-Tome-2-Blanche-Neige-199382.html.

Jael -Sunday Newspaper Supplement in New York World by Dan Smith

I was first exposed to Dan Smith at Big WOW!. I was moderating an inking panel and asked each artists who their influences are. Mark Schultz was one of the artist, besides Wally Wood and Alex Raymond he mentioned Dan Smith. I had never heard of him but did some research online and downloaded a number of his pieces to use on the panel.
I was hooked on Dan's art, he is an amazing illustrator.
In the late 1890s, he worked for Hearst organization and covered the Spanish-American War. From Hearst he joined the New York Herald for a short period then moved on to The World, where “for twenty years, he drew nearly all of the covers for the Sunday magazine of New York World.
I am not exactly sure when this was published, New York World was published thru 1931. I think this was done sometime in the early part of the 20th century. His originals are rare and this is on of the best I have seen and BIG this one is 22x28.

this is one of those 1940s Batman tryout pages.  Copied from the original HA auction

"Here is an unusual piece, giving us a peek into the process of drawing Batman during the 1940s. This partially inked page depicts a fist fight between the Dark Knight and his arch-rival the Joker. The art may have been a "try-out" page that was lightbox-penciled (off the original, published page) by a production artist in order to give potential inkers a tryout, or it may have been used in a classroom situation. It is all but certain that Bob Kane and his staff had no direct connection with this piece. Still, the paper, artwork, and ink are vintage from the early '40s, making this an interesting curio from the time. A fairly clean piece with light smudging and no white-out, in Very Good condition, measuring 13" x 18".

Quadrant series from Malibu by Pete Hsu, published in the early 80s. A sexy Sword and Sorcery sometimes bordering on soft core porn. Peter didn't work in comics for very long very limited amount of work and even less of his art survives. He started out drawing Adventurers & Elf Warrior for Aircel. Here is a cover to Quadrant TPB and a pencil prelim for Quadrant #1.
